Any club signing him will be gambling that he can do this again.
But I don't expect you to recognize that.......
Well maybe its a fluke will see..There have been a few like him in the bundesliga in the past..Im sure Lakic was looking for the best possible deal as he is 26 and this is probably the best contract he is going to get..
We totally agree on that.
He was smart to take the big contract.
I just think he could have gotten a better one if he keeps up his play through the end of the season.
But there are always injuries and other things to think about.
Believe me, I don't "blame" Lakic one bit. He'll get paid, but I think his situation isn't going to be as good as he thinks.
I said the same thing about Jendrisek.
People thought it was just because I hate Scheisse 04, but I wasn't wrong.
I hope I am wrong about Lakic.
Freakin' aye...#1FCK currently has 13 shots (5 on goal) compared Mainz's 7 (2 on goal) & #1FCK is still down What does this team need to do to get over the hump???
Acquiring w/ what money??? Agreed, the club is not at the level where they need to be. It appears it will be a flip-flop team at this rate. BTW, is Heinz Müller that good??? 6 saves already
That's what anyone looking at this team with an unbiased eye would expect.
Fighting spirit is what has gotten them this far and eventually, it won't be enough.
Let's just hope they get the points they need before the bottom falls out.
Heinz Müller was the top-rated goalkeeper in the Bundesliga last season.......
There didnt seem to be that much difference in quality between the 2 clubs..Without ilicevic today Kaiserslautern did lack creativity as tiffert is there only other creative midfielder..Lakic wasnt really getting much service and the one great chance he had he hit the post..Overall Kaiserslautern were the better team today but lacked in the final third..
We watched different matches.
I didn't think FCK was the "better" team at all.
I thought they were the more "desperate" team.
Close game but thought FCK deserved a draw at least..
If they "deserved" a draw, they would have gotten one.
They "deserved" exactly what they got. A loss.
FCK Takes Czech Midfielder Adam Hlousek On Loan From Slavia Prague
FCK Boss Stefan Kuntz said of Hlousek:
"In Adam Hlousek we have added more quality to our offensive game. He is a fast, young and hungry player who wants to develop in the Bundesliga. We are convinced he can help us reach our goals."
The 22-year old has played 69 Czech top division matches for FK Jablonec and Slavia Prague. Hlousek has 3 appearances for Czech Republic's national team.
At club level, he has one goal in 10 UEFA European Cup (CL & EL) appearances.
FCK does have a buy option for Hlousek.

Ha, Kieth you are correct. Since Lakic made his decision, Wolfsburg has signed 4 strikers Dude should have went to Wolfsburg in the Jan Window, but I guess he felt he was doing the right thing by going on a free. It appears he is have major competition next season in Wolfsburg. Like you said, nothing is guaranteed.
Actually, I believe Lakic truly wants to help FCK maintain 1st Bundesliga status.
And Wolfsburg wasn't going to pay what FCK wanted to get Lakic in this January window.
BTW, where do you get that Wolfsburg bought "four strikers since Lakic made his decision?"
Mbokani was signed before Lakic made his decision. Mbokani is just on a loan deal through the end of this season.
I believe VfL has the option to buy him, but I also believe Mbokani was just cover in case they could not get Lakic or Helmes.
Since then, VfL has signed:
Koo - South Korea - D-Mid
VfL apparently plans to use Koo as a D-Mid
Orozco - Venezuela - Attacking Midfield
VfL apparently plans to use Orozco as another try to replace Misimovic
Patrick Helmes - Germany/Bayer Leverkusen - Striker
Helmes is the replacement for Dzeko. No question. He will start.
Tuncay - Turkey/Stoke City - Striker
You can bet Tuncay and Grafite will battle it out for the spot next to Helmes for the rest of this season. I believe Tuncay is there to give them the option of selling Grafite at the end of the season.
Jan Polak - Czech Republic/Anderlecht - D-Mid
Polak will keep the spot next to Josue warm until Koo is ready.
So really, if you look at it this way, Lakic's competition for the spot next to Helmes next season will probably really be Tuncay, Grafite and Mandzukic.
And if they sell Grafite, it will only be Tuncay and Mandzukic.
Still stiff competition, but it gives Lakic a shot.
However, knowing Dieter Hoeness, if he sells Grafite, he'll bring in someone else too.
Hoeness loves to buy........
Hlousek is boss on FM 2011...
That's why he's in Kaiserslautern and not Madrid.......
Actually loads of teams are now utilizing FM's database in real life. I know for a fact Everton are (well we don't have money to sign anyone who's good now, so we need to get someone good for the future). And i've read somewhere a few Championship sides are as well.
Tuncay is not a striker but a midfielder..Mandzukic can play left or right mid as well as striker..
Actually, I believe Tuncay and Mandzukic can both play as offensive all-rounders.
Agreed, Tuncay is an offensive allrounder, i think he is similar to Mandzukic but a bit better.
But who knows if he'll be any good for VW, the individual players can't be their problem anyway.
According to "kicker", Martin Amedick is doubtful for the match in Hoffenheim with a calf muscle tear.
Sounds bad. Bugera could take over for him if needed.
Well, he's only listed as "doubtful", so it is probably a "slight" tear.
"kicker" lists Abel as the stand-in.
But of course, you could be right.
Man, I hope you are right. However if he isn't 100% I don't think Kurz will risk playing him. It could make a bad situation worse.
