And the inevitable collapse starts already. First LA concedes a draw at home against New England. The next week, on the wrong side of a 4-1 asskicking. Way to go LA!

Jeez, Donk, you couldn't wait till at least July to post this? Way to go, you impatient magic underpants-fapping wank-faced douchebag.

All the more reason to start the countdown to October. Fucks. Oh, and if you're going to post this crap, at least put the [R] next to it so has a little more cred.

We were missing just as many starters to international duty, including our top scorer last year. Didn't seem to make much difference, did it?

Yeah, poor LA had to get by with only two DP's.
So what you're saying is that overspending on DP's is not a good strategy for creating a well balanced team with enough depth to handle the normal things that happen in a season (injuries, national team callups, mid-week games)? Noted.

Well then, you just stomped in shit.

Yes, take notes son, but if you are going to be my student, you need to get it right. The only lesson here is that Bruce Arena is washed up.

    I actually like this thread.
One bad game and all the haters get together to celebrate.
This only means one thing: WE SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU so much that you have to gang up on us thinking the bogey man is gone after one off game.

Oh I'm fully prepared for LA to beat Philly.
If we were to win, or even tie you on the road it would be a big upset. You're simply a much better team.

However, some of your fans seem to be under the mistaken impression that you're a much better team than everyone else in the league.
At the same time some of your fans seem to think that they can simply explain away the ass-pounding that LA just took from RSL (the closest thing you guys have had to a conference rival in recent seasons) as just 'oh, it was a FIFA weekend so we were missing some guys'.

It's not like there was a plane crash and half of your team died... then the other half of the team caught food poisoning while visiting Donovan's orphaned bastard children in the hospital.

Missing a couple of people due to national team call ups that's a NORMAL thing. Just like injuries and all of that other stuff that your team should be built to handle if you're much better than the rest of the league.

If you guys were missing players and you tied RSL... or didn't quite play up to expectations (whatever those realistic expectations might have been) then you could say no big deal. But you got spanked. Plain and simple.
Is it too much to ask that you take your medicine and go to bed?

You guys have plenty to be proud of, but don't get silly about it. You should be policing your own... pulling in guys like Cyclonis who seem to think that the way LA played against RSL is still ok simply b/c it was a FIFA date. It shouldn't come down to CheeseDicks like me to point out reason to him.

One bad game? So you have no problems with the result against New England? At home even?
Ok, in that case, maybe Philly can come out there and beat you guys after all.

Topper, Hachiko are you guys going to let these guys give your team a bad image on rivalries?

hmmm, we were down 7 starters and still managed a point at an away match, I guess we're MUCH better than the rest of the league! Thanks Copa for helping make this argument for me :D

No, Columbus is just that bad now.
And the fact that it was the first point that you've had against them since 2009 says more than enough.
