White friends are overrated. When I lived in Philly most of my friends were Puerto Rican and Black and it was so much better then my now frat friends.
i know it sounds odd being that i am white but i dont get along well with other white people at all....
I became friends with a lot of Filipino's at school, the women are so beautiful. One of my best friends was born in Kenya and grew up in Dubai.
my best friend is filipino used to go over his house and play video games every saturday....boy things have changed since then getting older sucks...
The American Volleyball team was elimnated by the Italians. Normally I'd be rooting for America but one of the Italian players names was Danielle Lupo.
Haha nice! I'll take some pics today. The longneck squash is done but I've saved a couple ... I'll get out there today right now I'm on 9 hours of sleep in 2 days so after my nap!
Hah Jovanotti was huge in the 90s, I used to listen to him all the time. The baselines of his more funky stuff are awesome, and his lyrics are brilliant. I think his biggest hits from the time I was living in South America were Penso Positivo and Serenata Rap, but his lesser known songs are my favourites. ^My favourite line: "Voglio due tette come due meloni" I'll let you translate that I prefer his more relaxed songs though... Piove is by far my favourite: "Hai visto che piove? Senti come viene giù! Tu che dicevi che non pioveva più! Che ormai non ti saresti mai più innamorata! E adesso guardati sei tutta bagnata!"
Hah c'mon Ciuccio dammi tregua Piove's a good song. That being said, yeah I cut down listening to Jovanotti as I got older. If anyone is looking for Italian music, aside from the classics, here's my recommendations: If you are a Romanista, you need to go buy Circo Massimo (2001) by Antonello Venditti, Don't ask why, just do it... NOW! 2001 shoudl give you a hint Enrico Ruggeri has a couple good songs My girlfriend listens to Tiziano Ferro (She grew up with his songs back in South America), I didn't think much of him when I was growing up there, but now I really like him. Guess I've become more accepting with age, and my edges have been smoothed, so the following song is very fitting... This video (which looks like a sad football story) is really good... "complimenti per la vita da campione, insulti per l'errore di un rigore. " and finally Lucio Dalla always brigs tears to my eyes... I was in Italy when he passed and his song 'Gesu Bambino' always brings me back to when I heard the news while at my grandfather's town in the mountains of Campania.
My dad has some CDs of Antonello most of the italian music i like is because of him. Tiziano is ok i like some of his stuff. Pino Daniele came out with a new CD couple of good songs. I love italian music it helps me keep my Italian up.
best thing to come out of calabria since peperoni(peppers) i also like Mino Reitano RIP to the both of them.
only in america can you turn a pizza into a burrito....i think have the dead in Napoli just rolled over....
What's your favorite pizza place in Naples? Da Michele for me, the pizza is by far the best part of living in the city.
Those stuffed sandwich/pizza burrito's don't look very appealing. I never understood the love for piling as much crap on the pizza as possible. Now those Napoli pizza's look incredible.
Best Pizza I ever had was the simple Rucola. If you are ever in Lucca, try out the pizzeria da felice. Without a doubt, the best pizza place I have ever been in. Perfection!
Jeez those might be the best looking pizzas I've ever seen. It's weird seeing cheese that isn't a gross orange color
