OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread I know some of us play both and I am looking forward to the new installments of both so I can achieve glory with Roma and make me feel better about being a fan. FIFA 2011 comes out in 2 weeks FM 2011 come out November 5 I have been playing Football Manager 2010 again to feel better and get through this horrible time the club is going through
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread fifa comes out in 1 week i think. Last FM I owned was 08. I will be getting both of these games and I can't wait. Only minor problem is I need a wireless adapter and live subscription, so this could end up costing me a pretty penny. I'm pretty interested in Civilization V too. Anyone get that?
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Check for Amazon.com and other website that might have live subscription car rebates... that is what I do you can get 1 year deals for 30 bucks sometimes and i usually buy 2 when this happens I heard Civ 5 is nice i could not see playing a game that long though i dont have the patience. I am very pumped for FM 2011 going to get a new laptop for it this year.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread FIFA is more of an arcade game and FM is more of a simulation/management game, yeah?
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread I will point my boyfriend in the direction of this thread... He's currently playing with Roma on FM and has been playing around with the FIFA 11 demo
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread I've been playing FIFA 10 and FM 2010 non stop lately, I can't wait for the new installments.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread I enjoy these games but I hate how unrealistically good teams like Chelsea and Inter are. You can pull off a clean challenge on Drogba, he will then do a back flip in the air, the fall on the ground and still manage to get up and out run your defender to the ball. The lower tier teams are also extremely poorly made.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Agreed it's annoying but the computer on the highest difficulty can easily be beaten with enough practice. In fifa atleast
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread i got it for the 360. rocked roma in manager mode well into the night! loving the new game so far.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread FYI football manager 2011 demo is out now. It's taken the last few days of my life away, and I can't stop playing. http://www.footballmanager.com/demo
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread How is it? My home computer tanked so have not played it yet.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread i think it's very different. a lot less arcade'ish. no more playing through balls, outrunning defenders and going through on breakaways. you REALLY have to build play through the midfield, pull defenders out of position and make a perfect pass to get good shots on goal. another aspect that takes some getting used to is the physicality. defenders will push you off the ball at first until you learn to fight back. also, manager mode has been completely revamped. i made it to my second season with roma, lost my first three champions league (cup) games, and then the board put my job under review and fired me on the spot!!! OUCH!!! i've played EVERY fifa game ever made, and this is the first time i've ever been fired as a manager. lazio actually offered me a job to take over their club. (i decided to start over from square one instead) in my humble opinion, fifa 11 is a much more difficult game to play, and much more realistic too.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread I've had a really weird start to my Samp game on the demo, just had an epic 3-3 draw with Inter I also made this weird assymetrical formation when I was stoned which seems to work.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Your average ratings are enormous or is that just a FM2011 thing?
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Great, very similar in respect to 2010, but some minor changes, watching the game is different as they improved that. You can have interactive conversations with players, and when you negotiate contracts the agent will tell you if it's acceptable before you submit the offer. Some other little things I'm forgetting at the moment, but I can't stop playing, its just too addictive.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Think it's just because they've played pretty well so far but i'm only 6 games in, so it'll average out as I play more games (especially when Cassano and/or Pazzini inevitably get injured).
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Average rating in FM is around 7 so rating are about normal
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Anybody get Football Manager 2011 yet?.. Thoughts? Are there a lot of bugs? I'm thinking about getting it off steam next week.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread I have only heard great things. I am not getting game until we have new owner patched in
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Why don't you play with some other team until that? I've had very satisfying saves with Atletico Madrid, Everton, Red Star, St. Pauli etc., in the previous games.
Re: OT: FIFA 2011 and Football Manager 2011 Thread Don't worry I usually do, I just still don't have a pc at home and am not getting one until Xmas when its done being built so ill just wait for the January patch
I thought maybe we should make a thread for all things not related to football or AS Roma. Do what you will people.
Re: Off Topic Thread - Not Football Related Can you merge the Fifa/FM thread I made a while back into here?
