If a ship is launched from California and porn filmed in space on said ship will the new condom law apply?

That's actually a pretty interesting legal question. Ultimately, I think it would come to whether the work activity is taxable in CA. There might actually be statute on that, but I'm not sure.

IIRC, polities aren't allowed to claim the space above them.

I figured it would work like the club car on Amtrak - can't buy beer while travelling through a dry county.

I am pretty amazed at how the Obama kill Americans plan hasn’t drawn a peep from this normally boisterous crowd.

I took a big poop on Obama's record on this in the 'military actions abroad" thread.

The reason I can't complain about that is because Obama is a centrist Republican. He gave us corporate-sponsored healthcare, he gives us drone-based assassinations.

I mean, a guy on Fox News supports this, so you know its out of the Republican playbook.

Hell, either George Bush rains hellfire out of the sky on suspected terrorist leader #2, and the entire congress would have lined up to praise his decisionmaking.

idiot Krugman says that DEATH panels is needed at some point to make Obamacare work

    http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/06/paul-krugman-calls-for-death-panels-to-cut-health-care-costs/

    http://minutemennews.com/2013/02/no...nomist-pay-for-health-care-with-death-panels/

What kind of nightmare system do you liberals want to live in?

I wouldn't be surprised in a few decades, there will be new law that places a mandatory age where seniors have to 'retire' forever.

I think japan is planning to do something like that...

The only problem with Krugman's quote is that he used the Republican phrase, "death panels" The actual phrase we'll use when we implement Operation Die Old Fart Die will be "Death Oversight Boards."

FYI, Ignore List users. i'm quoting Mak9.

We damn well could use death panels. We collectively spent several hundred thousand dollars on the last 3 months of a 85 year old I know who had about 5 fatal conditions, simultaneously. He was wearing a diaper, didn't recognize his wife, and in constant pain. You'd have to be an idiot to want to keep this guy alive, and a double idiot to spend $$$ while doing so.

There is a simple solution, let people own their medical accounts and let these accounts be passed on after death. That way the family, not a faceless death panel, gets to decide whether or not a treatment is worthwhile.

I agree to the extent that there is enough money to pay for the treatments. That is not going to be the case for many people. If the family is just picking up copays and deductibles, then the rest of us who pay insurance premiums are picking up most of the tab.

California is going in the direction that anyone who even thinks of California will be subject to California income tax, retroactive to 1980...
