This is my lineup this week (unless I decide to change it last minute):
Decided to go with a 3-5-2 cause I wanted to put Matheson in, just in case Washington does have something magic happen.

There's been a ton of great advice in this thread, which has caused me to shift my squad around a half-dozen-ish times. And now that I'm looking at it one more time, I think I'm going to just change one little....

Goal - Solo (SEA), Angerer (POR)

Defense - Moros (POR), Washington (HOU), Robinson (FCKC), Ohale (HOU)

Midfield - Holiday (FCKC), Lloyd (WNY), Little (c) (SEA), Nairn (vc) (WAS), Challupny (CHI)

Forwards - Rapinoe (SEA), Leroux (SEA), Kawasumi (SEA), Taylor (WAS)

Biggest question for me this week was defense, but I settled on attacking non-allocated players that a) have a chance at a shutout (obviously) and b) have lots of assists/attacking opportunities. Washington takes all the corners for Houston, which last game was about 7, and Moros played more in the midfield than on defense, with a nice SOG to add to her CS. I also just really liked Houston's defense (especially Romero and Ohale) and like their chances against Boston.

    Rapinoe, Devanna, Ocampo

Didn't know there was a big soccer group! I joined the official Reign group and the general group, but I'll be adding the big soccer one right away. My fantasy team name is ReignDancer btw.

    EDIT: How do I join?

I see we have some Lannister infiltrators amidst the group!

Anyone know if clearances will be counted this year? The NWSL stats page doesn't track them, only crosses. If that's the case, would there ever be a call for a central defender over an outside back?

Not bad, but I question the wisdom of having 3 forwards from the same team. It's not something I would advise, as there will usually be one who doesn't put up points. My advice- switch out Kawasumi for either Taylor or another forward. The rest of your choices are good ones, though.

The logic for me behind the 3 forwards from the same team is that I expect another big game from Seattle (SOG galore), and don't want to miss out on any of the attacking core's potentially big game. If only 2 of 3 do well (heck even 1!) I'll be more than happy.

Also I'm working under the assumption Kawasumi will start (playing 60 minutes or so), because she looked sensational coming in as a sub.

Fair enough, although I would be surprised if Kawasumi did start before she left for the Asian Cup.

I see everyone's got their Solo T-Shirt on, for clean sheets, up in this Fantasy week.
I can smell it from here. Smells like Reign.

One thing to note, is that Washington scored in every game against Seattle last year.
In fact, they scored 6 goals in 3 matches (Hope Solo was the goaltender in two of those matches).
Washington had better offensive (goal scoring) success against Seattle than they had against any other team.
I actually expect a higher scoring game between Seattle vs. DC this week (they had a 4-2 match last year).
Seattle still wins, but I think it'll be 3-1, 4-1, or 4-2. I think Washington scores at least one goal on Solo.

This, it's so funny that I can guarantee you that anyone who have a Spirit player in their team has Matheson as well. In WPS, Lindsey used to be a big fantasy player but it seems not anymore.

Dunn, Matheson and Nairn are fantasy winners already. Whoever had those in like WPSmovement are going to make some good hay for points.

And the Spirit still have one more game left in this current Fantasy week (Wednesday against Seattle).
I'm very excited to see Dunn play again. She is going to be a dominant rookie this year.

Whoever had Matheson in their FL lineup really came out big this week. 3 goals!
Unfortunately I wasn't wise to this, and overall I think my lineup sputtered spectacularily in week 2. :(

Oh well... on to week 3!

So, looking ahead, it appears that Chicago, KC, Seattle and SkyBlue all have a 2 game week upcoming. With Chicago and FCKC vs each other, as well as Sky Blue and Seattle.

    CHI - WAS
    FCKC - POR
    SEA - HOU
    SBFC - BOS
    SEA - SBFC
    CHI
    - FCKC

Which of those 4 do you think will have the easiest time defensively and/or offensively?

Defensively I think Chicago has a shot at getting good points up on the board, due to a tired Washington Spirit team (3rd game over 7 days), and then playing FCKC later in the week, who will be in the same category as Chicago, fitness-wise.

Offensively I'm leaning towards FCKC and Seattle, as they've both been creating lots of chances recently (FCKC just needs to finish!)
