Tigres' retro escudo rocks. Their recent logos were crap especially the ones with a tiger claw. Anything vaguely NFL sucks, I am looking at you Jaguares and Dorados.

Tigres' kit looks nice. Really clean too. I am also glad the changed the escudo to the original one, that stupid T was lame.

Why would Chivas get a new one already?? They just got their centenario ones

    Re: New Jersey Thread

There's going to be another supposed innovative jersey and perhaps another retro. I read that back before the current jerseys came out.

Tigres' uni looks nice & clean. Looks a lot like the one FC Dallas wore a little while back against Chivas usa.

    Re: New Jersey Thread

Here's an article on what will be the new america jersey. There's no pic though.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like the actual crema color is coming back and there will be a red stripe with the 10 stars on the shoulder. Here's a quick guess at it...

I don't like this, the red stripe fuucks it up even more than that big ass Bimbo on the front. I'd like to see that red stripe gone, and the 10 stars be put around the collar.

Only if the stars are white, if they blend them in with the color of the collar, i'd be tight IMO. I have an America Adidas jersey, and there's Adidas and stripes all over the jersey but you can't tell they're there unless you get up close. And if you hold them up to the light, they shine and look like holograms. I love that jersey.

Nike's on a roll with the jerseys as of late. As much as I hate the team, I gotta give props for the classy jersey. Bimbo does a good job fucking things up as per usual.

What's up with CocaCola buying small ad spaces on the front of team's jerseys? If they're gonna be cheap and not be the main front sponsor they should get the fuck out.

    an island in my mind
Buying jersey's from one season to the next is a marketing ploy that preys upon the very stupid. "Ooo, ooo! I want the new Puma's jersey with the Choco-Milk Pancho Pantera logo on it!!". Next season rolls around and you just can't live without the newest and coolest jersey featuring the classy "Calzado Andrea" logo splashed all over the front of the newest America jersey.

I'll buy one that catches my attention and stick to it for a few years. Fortunately for me the last jersey I bought will probably stand the test of time. The logoless 2005 Chivas Jersey (home and away). Possibly the best jersey in the history of the MFL.

    One man's opinion.

Of course it's a marketing ploy, why else would they write articles on what team will be wearing what next season.

If there's something that plagues the MFL it's the over-abundance of sponsors on our team's jerseys. I have a dream that one day we'll see teams with 1-2 sponsors on their uniforms. The days of Leon's and Jaguares' F1-esque unforms will be a thing of the past.

I like to focus on the overall look of the jersey and not whats printed on it.

Chivas' 04 and 05 sponsorless jerseys are the jewels in my collection as well.

I still have my Toluca-Atlas final and Atlas Libertador era jersey, that one meant something.

I bought the next year's Atletica model, but the first one sticks in my mind more than any other. A jersey might look nice, but if the team played like crap who cares right? Since every season brings a new jersey, then that year's jersey becomes the symbol of the season in my mind.
