Re: RSL Blogs cont'd I'd rather rip a hangnail beyond my elbow and immerse it in lemon juice before I watched or played golf. But I've seen a nice basketball gym over in that area before...
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd The Red Mango is worth a stop off the AF exit. There's also a special feeling in the air the closer you get to Provo.
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd In AF we also have the only EL POLLO LOCO in Utah, at least I think it's the only one.
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd That special feeling in the air is actually the smell of poop. Everytime I rode my motorcycle through Utah Valley it smelled like crap until I hit the Spanish Fork Canyon and headed towards Price. I wouldn't consider the smell of crap to be a special feeling, but that's just me.
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd I think that special feeling is he smoke bellowing out of the meth houses around the Provo Marriott. And there is a Red Mango in Midvale.
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd No, the lake is fine. It's actually fields of composting human waste in American Fork and an open treatment center. Used to be a nice 6 figure profit center for the city. Don't believe me? Look it up. There's a lot of pressure from tax paying establishments (like BMW of Pleasant Grove or that weird Noah's reception building) to get it changed, but citizens recently voted down a bond measure to finish the enclosure of the treatment facility. So, roll down your windows at Lindon and let your car vent...but if your body is spewing sympathetic fumes - nobody can help with that. I live in Southern Utah County, cleanest air on the front with help from the various canyon winds...but you get potentially toxic water in the trade and have to work around that.
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd lol... I'd have to agree... Everytime I've played the ball goes 100 yds right ... 5 yds forward... thought about just aiming all the way left and going for it... It is fun to drink and mess around in the golf carts however...
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd I actually work for the engineering firm doing the enclosure project(well the prelim stuff)... and the timpanagos plant expansion to... There is more than one treatment facility that dumps into that lake... ;D It is treated water... but up to a point... only have to get so many parts per million and if you dumping that much ... well... ;D
Re: RSL Blogs cont'd I once played 9 holes with only a putter. I could hit the ball about 160 yards on the driving range, but on the course I had to aim 90 degrees away from the hole to get it close to the green. I was slicing it that bad. Made for a fun day, especially when I almost hit the pompous group in front of us with an errant ball.
That tourist board took a beating yesterday. I searched, but I couldn't find any good pics of BYU fans crying. I was going to post a Ute fan crying too, but I wanted to stay on-topic.
