I know Adam is a UFL blogger, so this might be up his alley. But I was wondering what you Orlando area fans thought of this new UFL Florida Tuskers team?

At first, when I used to live down in FL before 2008, I heard about all these new outdoor football leagues and over the months since then it seems they all petered out.

I was surprised to learn just this past week how far the UFL had come (as opposed to the slow death of the others) and what especially surprised me was the quality coaches and facilities they were using. CitiField, AT&T Field, Citrus Bowl?

    Whats some local opinions?

    Thanks

I already have tickets for both Orlando games.

Do you like the players and coaches they've picked?

What do you think of the Rays owning them and having one "home" game in St Pete?

I was a bit disappointed at first because I was originally under the impression that Orlando would actually get all three home games at the Citrus Bowl. In fact, that's the way it was on TicketMaster until a couple weeks before the announcement. But since it's the Rays, I don't see a problem with it.

If it had been moved to Birmingham or somewhere else out-of-state, I would've been livid.

The roster isn't really set yet (1,200 showed up for tryouts this weekend for the Tuskers alone), but I'm definitely cool with Jim Haslett at head coach, and Jay Gruden on the staff. (The latter isn't possible if Chucky wasn't fired from Tampa Bay.) I myself would go so far as to say Jay Gruden would be an even better choice for head coach, with his two Arena Bowl titles with the Predators.

I think it is interesting, probably will go to the game at the Trop.
