I was impressed by Brazil but the 70 % three point stat isn't as impressive at it seems to be.

I made that number up, I don't know what it was exactly, but 70 % from the floor seems unsustainable to me. Anyway, they were hitting unbelievable shots, which in my opinion were a bit lucky.

Yea I think it was 70 % FG in the first quarter. The three point line is closer in the international game so that was the point I was trying to make.

I'm actually surprised by Russia, I thought they would drop a game to either Puerto Rico or China. However, their closest disaster was a 6 point win vs. Ivory Coast.

The ESPN guy, who I am really enjoying listening to, said to watch out for Russia. He likes them and specifically mentioned their coach.

What channel do these games come on? Just U.S. or showing other games as well?

All the US games are on ESPN or ESPN2. You can watch all other games on ESPN3 (the online channel) or some on NBA TV if you have it.

They'll have a tough opponent for the R16. One of France, Spain or Lithuania.

That is a bit of a misrepresentation. Russia allowed Ivory Coast to score 11 points in a minute and a half to get within 2 in the last minute of play. otherwise it was a reasonably easy outing.

Great result, you guys are having a pretty good showing so far. Who are potential opponents in the next rd? Knowing Russia after a good start, single elimination will get to them and it will be one and done

Well we could beat the first two I'm sure, although I'm not quite up to date on France. Spain will likely get past us but we beat them a couple of years ago and they were heavy favorites then.

Lithuania should push into the quarters, as CHina looks like garbage. From there it could go anywhere. Argentina is very good, but the homeland is playing great ball.

USA should be into the Semis.

Sadly, Russia will run into the USA in the quarters. Could be close, maybe.

Spain and France are a bit less than what they were. Russia should be favored.

Yeah, it could be interesting as the US is set up to play the winner of Russia's match up in the next round.

If the US gets further it could be matched up against Lithuania, or Argentina.

No shame in going out to the U.S., just as long Rose stays healthy.

It's funny how much fear the U.S. team puts into everyone.

It makes sense, for as small as they are, they pretty dominate FSU basketball.
