Both Sergey Karasev and Dmitry Kulagin should make Russian NT for the Olympic Qualification tournament imo. They are both playing really well this season. Either one would certainly be a better choice then Khvostov.
In South Beach clubs one can purchase a $10K bottle of tequila. This is how, in one shot, you can blow $10K.
6 Supercars, a huge house for each of your family, a more huge house for yourself, lavish dinners, bottle service in every club, a pet cheetah, and paying for your boys to just hang out with you 24/7. Thats how atheltes end up broke.
And of course child support for many different kids. Ralph Sampsons income dropped to $10k a year when he retired, yet he owed like $50k child support for multiple kids a year. That is an extreme example. Probably a lot of bad business decisions as well. That original $100 million is cut in half from the beginning with taxes and agent fees.
Warren Sapp sold his Super Bowl and NCAA title rings and he's still making 6 figures after football lol.
The 240 pairs of Jordans and Lion skin rug didn't help. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-warrensapp-bankruptcy I know that NFL has annual meetings with the Rookies warning them about the dangers of being in the spotlight, but perhaps they are neglecting to teach them the MAIN lesson. A lesson in importance of using a condom.
It is, though interesting that as your income grows, so do expenses. My first job out of college paid me a quarter of my current salary but I was fine, bills were paid. Today, 16 years later, I make four times the salary but it is barely enough to cover the bills. Having a family with 2 kids, of course, is the reason for most of it. But, truthfully, as income goes up so does the lifestyle.
Reggie Miller to the HOF. Still bitter he didn't go last year first ballot like he should have, but its pretty special he and another Pacer, ABA legend and front office vet Mel Daniels get enshrined together. Pacers own HOF 2012
Yeah, there is no doubt Reggie deserves it. I came to NYC in 1995 and was already a Pacers fan (Miller was my favorite player on USA team). Naturally, Reggie was already under a lot of Knick fans' skin by then, and the playoff series between Pacers and Knicks that year didn't help matters.
He was the leading scorer for Dream Team III in '96 Olympics, killed in the Gold Medal game. Him, Barkley and The Admiral devastated that tourney. That was when he had his eye scratched and almost severely damaged. He wore red tinted Oakley's in the Olympics lol
LeBron had an MVP type performance last night. The Heat sans Wade were mired in an ugly game against the Nets, 13 points down in the third. Lebron scored the Heat's last 17 points to eke out a 101:98 victory.
That just goes to show that Lebron at the top of his game is the best player on the planet by a wide margin.
That can very well be the case when it's all said and done, Durant's gonna be one of the best ever imo.
I'll never forget how Kevin Durant basically took the USA team on his back and said, "don't worry about it guys."
Honestly, Durant is my favorite non-Pacers player in the NBA right now. He so humble. He isn't interested in any 1-hour ESPN specials. All he does is go out on the court and dominate.
7-game suspension to World Peace/Artest/Nutcase for that ridiculous shot to James Harden's head. Seriously, that guy might be the scariest person in the NBA -- an absolute athletic specimen who is a complete psycho.
