Seriously though, why don't we ask some Seattle people what they would rather have right now...

Seattle does have a WNBA team, so they have both.

Ask LA people; Lakers or Galaxy?
    Chivas or Clippers

    Chicago, FIRE or Bulls

    NY RedBulls or knicks

    Boston Celtics or Revolution

    RSL Jazz or Real

Portland Timbers or Blazers (this one may be close)

    Maveriks or Burn

Houston Rockets or whatever they are called.

    Etc. Etc. Etc.

City wide polling will get a result favorable to the NBA teams in most of cities with MLS and NBA (shit even NHL teams would pol higher than MLS).

Those teams have been around longer too, don't forget that. And while the NBA is talking contraction, MLS is expanding.. even in this horrible economy! Besides, generals don't take orders from foot soldiers.

You are like Fox news, you deal in opinion not in facts.

In the past 15 years what league has contracted more teams? MLS or the NBA?

The NBA has moved more teams.

BTW the Lingerie Football League has expanded a lot this past year, maybe they are the best up and coming league in the USA.

We are talking the current state of affairs, not 15 years ago. The fact is, that the NBA has reached the zenith of its talent pool, whereas MLS will never, ever, ever, ever, have that problem thanks to soccer's global popularity. Now if only the right people were running the league, we could finish off those greedy bastards once and for all.

Except that after the lockout the NBA has been having all time high ratings.

The way both of those teams are playing, I'll take a WNBA team.

Which is sad because PPL holds less then the Center and we still out draw them by a few thousand

Is the union more popular than the sixers in Philly or the area?

Don't know if they're more popular yet but we're working our way towards it. They've out drew the Sixers in attendance both of there years by a landslide though.

Average attendance I assume, that is good, I also assume that sixers’ tickets are relatively cheap compared to other NBA teams.

Yea that's based on there average attendance over the past couple of years. I wouldn't doubt there tickets are on the lower end of the price spectrum. The Sixers haven't been relevant for almost a decade.

The Sixers slashed their ticket prices this year.

The Sixers have been terrible for about a decade now. It looks like they've finally put a good team together this year and will compete in the playoffs. Rumors of the death of the NBA in the Philadelphia market have been greatly exaggerated.

Big Soccer newbie here. Anyhow, the NBA is not dying. IF anything its going thru a resurgence of sorts. I do prefer the MLS to the NBA but im sure 99% of the U.S does not feel the same way.

We are the 1%! (who think running back and forth on 10 yards of wood and not playing any basketball and spending the last 15 seconds of game time, 45 minutes or real team, watching intentional fouls and free throws isn't worth our time)
