OK...I'll mention the elephant in the room...

The roster for November is going to be dependent on how the matches in October turn out.

    Just sayin'...

    Positive vibes....positive vibes...

We don't qualify I can imagine a whole U23, Euro-prospect, MLS side. All starters stay home type of game.

The October matches aren't going to go bad because the game in Kingston was kind of a wake up call.

Why isn't Andrew Wooten on any of your lists. He's just as likely to be there as some of the other guys on those lists.

    MF:
Danny Williams, Michael Bradley, Sacha Kljestan, Joe Corona, Mikkel Diskerud, Dax McCarty*

    FW:
Brek Shea, Josh Gatt, Chris Pontius, Graham Zusi, Terrence Boyd, Jozy Altidore

    ---------------Shea------Altidore------Zusi-------------------
    ---------------------Bradley---Corona------------------------
    ---------------------------Williams----------------------------
    Castillo-----------------------------------------------Parkhurst
    --------------------Edu-------------Cameron------------------
    ----------------------------Guzan------------------------------

    Cpt: Bradley
Bench: Johnson, Besler (Edu/Cameron) 80-90, Lichaj (Castillo/Parkhurst) 70-80, Kljestan (Corona) 60-70, Gatt (Zusi) 60-70, Pontius (Shea) 46, Boyd (Altidore) 60-70

    Notes:
    -Jozy must be called in.
-I want to go ahead and start prepping Bradley for the armband.
-I want to see how Edu and Cameron do again at center back.
-Corona is going to actually get some minutes sometime. The guy seems to be included on nearly every roster but is always seems to be the last man to receive PT. let's see what he can do with a start in a friendly game.
-Matt Besler, Omar Gonzalez, and George John are my top 3 MLS defenders. Who gets selected depends on who is still in the play-offs. Michael Orozco could sneak on instead of one of these 3, but i hope he doesn't.
-My inclusion of Brooks is an introduction to camp for one young YA defender given that they won't be available in January. This slot could also be used by maybe Will Packwood, Seb Hines, or Ventura Alvarado.
-Dax McCarty over JFT would be my one big shocker for the roster. My reason is that (1) i want to see what guys like Corona can do, and (2) I would want to evaluate McCarty personally given that right now he's one of my frontrunners for the armband in January. He's been a captain before and of the players we will have available, he brings what i believe to be the most leadership qualities.
-Diskerud, Pontius, Lichaj, and Gatt are my other new faces that need to start being integrated into the team. Of this group, Diskerud might be the odd man out of actually receiving PT but i still would want to call him in for evaluation.
-Omit: Johannsson, Chandler, Donovan, Dempsey, Howard, Holden, Jones, Beckerman, Cherundolo, Bocanegra, F. Johnson, Gomez, Wondolowski, Goodson, E. Johnson, Gordon.. any MLSer that's in the playoffs.
-Guys like Wondo, EJ, and Gordon have or are already getting their chance to make a case for themselves in camp. I would try out some other and younger faces....which i know is almost an anti-Klinsy thing to do.
-Johannnson and Chandler are most likely not going to be there so there's no point in including them.
-All the rest need a break from the national scene for awhile. And Holden needs to have at least a couple months under his belt first of club play before he gets the call again.

I think Deuce and Williams should get a break, I would call up O'Brien and Gordon or Bedoya instead. Otherwise its good. I also would like to see Morrow and Beitashour get a look though

I wasn't sure where to post this but tonight our bench was:
Rimando, Guzan, Beckerman, Edu, Corona, Kljestan, Gordon, Goodson.

Now that's not exactly the strongest looking bench. Some of that is due to injuries I know. Hopefully we can get players healthy for the Hex and find players for depth. I would like to find a winger and hopefully an attacking player who emerges as a super sub.

Yes I think every US fan wants to see him. It will be interesting to see how Donovan's return affects EJ, Zusi.

Looking at the team after the Guatemala game, the position with the most need to be adressed right now are wingers. I hope with this friendly JK calls up some new faces on the wing. Not many nat quality players to choose from though. My hunch would be Gatt and Pontius. Darkhorse could be Gyau.

I agree, except that I think winger is the #2 most pressing need. The #1 most pressing need on the team right now is at CB.

Yeah! My favorite thread is back...I'm so psyched for this friendly, we can finally see some new faces and how they are going to work. And captain Michael Bradley.

The only ones we wont see will be players from the 4 teams that make it into the conference finals..something which actually makes this friendly more exciting. We could go pretty deep into the depth chart, which is what Russia might do as well.

My full 23 (post 2012 WCQ)

GK: Guzan, Johnson, Rimando (Hamid, Kennedy)

FB: Beitashour, Lichaj, Castillo, Parkhurst (Morrow, Spector, Orozco, Pearce, Williams, Garza)

CB: Cameron, Gonzo, Besler, Edu (George John, Ream, Onyewu, Morales, Okugo)

MF: Bradley, Williams, Diskerud*, Gatt*, Zusi, Kljestan, Corona (Torres, OBrien, Bedoya, Gyau, Adu, Beasley)

F: Pontius, Boyd, Shea, Johnson, Wondolowski (Agudelo, Sapong, Gordon, Altidore**)

    Factors:
-MLS conference finals; could eliminate a large contingent of players

-*Norway's Tippeligaen final game is November 18th. If Rosenborg and Molde are still competing for the cup or European places then Diskerud and Gatt wont be there.

-**AZ Alkmaar only have 5 (11th and the 16th, I believe) days in between league games, with the 14th fixture shoved in the middle. Altidore might not (probably won't) make this camp

1.) IF, we want Cameron and Edu to b our CBs, then they need that time together in the friendlies
    but/and
we also need to find at least 1 other player for the CB spot
so we can phase out Boca

2.) Wingers. we need to find at least 1 more.
    - donovan, zusi, brek, r better than the other Winger choices

    3.) moar Zusi, Kljestan, Corona

4.) some Lichaj would b nice too
