Dude, come on. We were one of the best defenses, we need goles with players that at least try to run. our D is fine.
See below. Real's now talking about adding refuerzos from other U20s or 1ra As, like Escalante last season. wtf?
Escalante didn't do shit this past season, what makes Guero think that bringing in inexperienced players to Chivas will help us out? what happened to Ever Guzman? i'm sure whichever Primera A team he's with will be willing to let him go for a reasonably cheap price. the few times he played with Morelia he looked solid.
I like the idea of bringing kats from the lowers, but he has to leave them in playing consistently. Also, i think we will get 1 or at max 2 outside refuerzos.
Ochoa is supposedly going to Tigres. Damn shame. Also, one of the prospects this preseason is Erick Sámano of Club Racing Mechelen fame (aka "11 Mexican Players at ...") http://www.chivascampeon.com/noticia/11333/ Edit-and espn is saying the Elias Hernandez-Venado trade fell through.
Venado's not that bad with us. He's actually pretty solid. Much better than the little chumps you want taking his spot.
Morelia wanted Venado + a ton of $$ for Elias... I don't think it's worth it. Now that the season is officially over, Chivas will be asking again for de Nigris...and will be turned down again.
Doubt it. There's no point of going to Europe if you end up in the Greek league unless you're Nery Castillo of course.
And that's just it. Many of us here don't think he's a fit in Europe. The only reason I mentioned Greece was because the ties with his brother. Maybe Vergara can find a way to weasel/swindel the directivos of Monterrey to get him.
I think he can do well He's tall, strong, can hold up play and is decent on the ball He has a EU passport so i'm sure there are teams willing to give him a shot His brother managed to carve out a respectable career abroad and he was nowhere as skilled as Aldo.
