Young had more time than he knew for that shot! Volleying was the hard option. Promising attacking movement though.

Poor by Milner there, he should have stayed out wide rather than tucking into the middle, gave Norway an easy 2v1 for the cross.

Some classic Gerrard Hollywood passes and mad rushes forward, play him as the ten if he has to start. Good goal by young on some horrific 1 on 1 play from hageland

Please keep the ball better.. so much kick and rush and although we look the more likely to score, it's the same problem, Norway are dominating the ball

In fairness, so far, both these teams look awful. Is this what it is like to watch a league 1 match?

That was better football, when Gerrard isn't whacking it forward the rest of the team can keep the ball.

No, I saw the League 1 play-off final earlier and it was worse.

the organisation/shape is good here. Even after afew days of Hodgson we are already better drilled than under Capello . Only Milner is not getting it done .

To be fair I think it's an alright game. Certainly we're keeping possession.

    Shame about Milner though.

England are actually playing some decent stuff. Very easy on the eye.

Shut up. We're winning the game, and he skins a player.

He had all the right to take the shot.

Why must the commentators always make us sound so naive about football. Yes, we know keeping the ball is a "good sign in international football", thanks for that wonderful insight

That was a good defensive clearance from Carroll - Norway do look pretty dangerous from the half way line.
