absolutely right Crzd. But how is it going to happen. The worse thing is, the youth teams, who in Colombia have a very big influence on the seleccion, are starting to not to use a restricted 10, just like you mentioned America, and as Tio pointed out they arnt goin to the playoffs, and the youth teams suck badly. It's a huge problem, and there is not one easy answer. Erasing the 10, isnt going to miraculously make us amazing. But i agree its a good first step, which should be followed by a mass purge of players from the past and coaches too. Mediocrity or slightly above that should NOT be satisfactory, that is our problem.
in my opinion i love the game with a 10 but the real problem is not playing with it or without it its just that we dont have a good one at this time if riquelme was colombian shit play with a 10 all day long but we have to use what we have and what we have ask for a game without a 10
i say call up the players that are on a hot streak and make a system thatfits them, no matter whether their a 10 or not lets be honest Macnelly has been one of the best midfeilders Colombia has.
I agree if Pino and Quintero are both hot.... we have to play with wingers but we wont do it... we will let them rot
el cuento de jugar con un 10 definido, es ke hace la defensa del ekipo contrario muy facil, solo marca al diez y se acabo el cuento...... el 10 en el futbol moderno sol funciona si juega al lado de varios volantes netamente ofensivos o de wings ke tambien generen peligro, para ke la defensa contraria tenga ke multiplicarse.... pero esta idea nos lleva al mismo comienzo, porke si el 10 teine 2 wings y un delantero al frente, pa ke mas 10, ... cierto?? en concusion un 4-3-1-2 es OBSOLETO!!! en un 4-4-2 es un 10 un talon de akiles para la propia defensa.... en un 4-2-3-1 ... solo estorba el 10, en el 4-3-2-1 no se necesita el 10... resumen : el 10 es significado de futbol Obsoleto, el futbol colombiano sigue buscando un 10 , ergo el futbol colombiano mientras sig buscando su 10 será .... ?
obsoleto, como el futbol Manito ayer el vasco aguirre, cambio al 10 de antes por un cuathe Blanco de la MLS no va mas el brazilero Zinha. Igual la argentina de maradona, sufrio mucho sin ROMAN, el 10 que no fue bien reemplazado por el rolfi Montenegro, le fue muy mal en la Paz (a ver cual diez usa el pelusa vs panama?) cada cual con lo que tiene: ojala volantes ofensivos nos hagan olvidar del 10 o el enganche pero sin enlaze o creativo, nadie tiene un lanza pases que le sirvan a los delanteros Colombianos los mismos que en sus equipos meten golcitos mensuales y esperamos que nos salven la papeleta.... a comprar TV, mas grande, para ver el Mundial en SA!!!
U cant compare Riquelme to Macnelly or G10 Riquelme is a whole team and he is better than a Pibe because any free kick is half a goal with him..... other than our #10s who just wait for the ball to land on their feet so that they can make a pass to a player that isnt open because we are too predictable
he is more complete he can score free kicks, goals and has great vision and passing... I not saying he is better than Pibe jsut different and I rather have a Riquelme on my team than a Pibe.
but don't forget Riquelme's pace is mad slow. I'm not saying that pace matter much but many people criticize other players on pace.
lo importante de el 10 es la mente mas de lo que tiene en los pies... el problema es cuando el equipo basa su generacion de futbol en ese 10, ya las marcas son mucho mejores que las de antes entonces si tu encargas a 1 persona a generar futbol te jodiste.. lo que hay que hacer es no olvidarnos del 10 (porque somos buenos generandolo, vean macnelly por ejemplo ese talento no se puede desperdiciar) en ves de olvidarnos de el 10, evolucionarlo, osea ahora usan mucho lo que son wingers, nosotros wingers tenemos, Pino, Quintero, Rodallega, Wasson, Mao. Ahora si tu cojes el 10 y lo acompanas de dos wingers, y le metes un delantero letal en el area (WE NEED YOU falcao !!!!) tienes un exelente ataque con inteligencia!! algo asi (hagamos de cuenta que estan en buen nivel y no lesiones) Pino--BigMac--Wasson ------Falcao--------- Wasson y Pino atacan mucho pero no tienen esa inteligencia que por su parte bigmac si la tiene y es eso de organisar el ataque, darle pausa y poner a los (Wingers y el delantero) a correr para hacer el pase de la muerte, ahora todos blokearian a Macnelly logicamente pero eso significa que se le crean espasios a PINO o a Wason para que generen futbol y pasarle la pelota a Falcao pa que defina. NO DESTRUYAMOS NUESTRO FUTBOL EVOLUCIONEMOLO
No mas 10 en la leccion de acuerdo!. Yo apoyo un 4-3-2-1 o 4-4-2 o 4-2-3-1, hay suficientes opciones ahi.

El man es bueno pero es muy individualista, teo le corria constantemente para que le ponga el pase largo y asi agarar a los defensas paraos y el man no se la pasaba. He will be our lampard Its way way to early to bring him in on the NT same with James Rodriguez neither are even 17 yet. I wouldnt mind having a Colombia A vs B game and having both of them get their 1st call ups but to bring them in 4 games where we are basically eliminated seems rough. If we dont make it to the WC, then I say these 2 are instant starters for every game after November 2009 - 2014 or till someone better shows up. If we do make it to the WC they should be called to friendlies to get experience in.

Thought ill bring this up seeing as most of Colombian journalists and reporters want Gio 10, who is having an unbeliveable start to the season, just behind Teo (who is godly), to kick start a proven partnership. People want the midfield and forward line molded around those too.

Re: Nt # 10 Acabo de encontrar un dato interesante: En las ultimas eliminatorias jugamos 7 partidos con un 10 definido, de 21 Puntos posibles solo hicimos 7 Puntos ( 1 Punto empate con Perú, luego victoria contra Bolivia y otra contra un Perú eliminado). 33% de efectividad, Muy Pobre! Jugamos 5 Partidos usando un 4-4-2 e hicimos 10 Puntos de 15 posibles. 66% de efectividad. Anoto este dato, porke tenemos mucha esperanza en James(volante extremopor izkierda)Ojala y no nos vayan a salir con ke es el nuevo Pibe y pum lo pongan de 10. Dios nos libre de Bolillo o Leonel, o cualkiera ke se identifique con ese futbol tan obsoleto.
