I truly hope there is an option to have no have a sock in the boot, this is basically a Kobe System for soccer aka stupid. The same material as the k-leather part of the boot as in it will be k-leather or that synthetic on the medial portion of the boot? I forget that fancy new name for that stuff and I can't be bothered to look at the pics that detail it.
i don't know excatly what kind of material will be used on tiempo 5. the sock will be at least on vapor and hypervenom.
I've seen them used on full size pitches. Just because they are marketed for 5v5, doesn't mean they won't work on larger pitches, just like people use boots marketed for full size pitches for 5v5. It's just a shoe after all.
Tiempo top: K-Leather / ACC / Mesh Backing / Dri-Tech Package. Tiempo mid: Calf Leather/ Mesh Backing / Dri-Tech Package. Tiempo low: Full-Grain.
Interesting about the sock built in or sold with the shoes. I think it is a good idea....if it is removable. I bet nike has seen the uptake on tru socks and thought they could capture that market. A sock insert that doesn't slip...makes for a better fit...minimizes blisters/break in period? I normally play in nike elite double layer socks...and cut my kit sock foot off and tape to cover. I used to double up my socks but it cause rubbing and blisters with my foot sliding around. Do i found the double layer single sock nike sells still gives me the tight 2 sock fit but my foot doesn't slide as much.
Just got the new Eurosport catalog in the mail today and I read this It's a mistake right? Or are these really k-leather???
I think there's two types of Teijin now. The faux leather Teijin and the plasticy Teijin ("SpeedControl")
You're right. The synthetic itself is the microfiber material called Teijin OLM12, and Nike can treat that with different finishes to the upper. Nike use what they call different release papers to treat the upper, and can give it the suede-like finish from the Vapor VIII, the leather-like finish that we see on the CR7s and of course the SpeedControl finish. It's all made on the same base of the Teijin OLM12.
Again Teijin is not the material, it is maker of the material aka Nike doesn't make it, they source it. http://www.teijin.com
What's everyone's opinion- hyper venom or Vapor? And will the hyper venom be planned to stick around for a while, or is it planned to be a 3-4 year thing like the maestri (which has suprised me!).
Tiempo 94 re-release this January? http://www.soccerpro.com/index/page.../Nike Tiempo 94 Low - Bronze and Yellow Ochre Colorways are: Bronze/Yellow Ochre, Gym Red/Light Crimson, and Dark Base Grey.
I have both and other than the stud pattern, I honestly like the Vapors more (even with my flat/wide feet)
The split-toe thing on the hypervenom is supposed to make the soleplate more flexible but I think it only makes it stiffer...
Thoughts on the CR7 Galaxy pack? I'm guessing a few of you have received yours and had a kick around in them!
Not sure, but I honestly don't think the soleplate has became any softer since brand new. Another thing about the HVPs: The fit is not perfectly one-to-one like it is on the MV9s. IMO, when you are running, the soleplate doesn't fully flex. Instead, I feel like it's the upper that gives a little (IDK if that makes sense). The upper material reminds me of the Under Armor material or spandex (of course thicker, more plasticy, and honeycombed).
Does anyone prefer the mercurial vapor 9 fg over the hypervenom phatal fg? If you do message me and if you know when the Vapor 10's come out include that in the message too, thanks.
