wish i played on grass or turf to warrant going down and buying a pair anyone want to sign me up? so i can go buy boots..
can someone who has any of the later models of the vapor VIII tell me if Nike put the sort of tape stuff around the the front of the boots to stop the sole coming away - like this - http://s813.photobucket.com/albums/...?action=view¤t=IMG_5990_zps93a7ab9a.jpg or was it only pro's that got it ?
I am pretty sure the newer produced models of the 8s, specifically those light blue ones were starting to be produced with that 'tape'. If I remember reading right though, it didnt help much.
My Retro VIII's have it, and they're lasting brilliantly despite a winter of incredibly bad pitches in the north of England.
does anyone know the online retailers of the vapor ix cr limited boots? so soccer.com has 20/100. where is the rest?
^^^Supposedly 50 US & 50 Europe. Not sure how many of the 50 per stays w/ Nike.com though. Then you have to break down out of the 100 there are US sz 8, 9, 10 & 11. I think 20 of ea & US 9 has 40.
Premiers look much better with a black soleplate like the AG version above. I don't care if it's a Copa competitor, I hope a black soleplate makes it onto the FG version in some fashion.
I don't know if you guys have the same impression but, looking this new configurations AG, I think they are a bit higher than the current AG. I fear this might be a problem, as the current Nike AG soleplate is one of the most comfortable I've ever used...
They do look pretty similar (minus the turf studs) to the bombs pros/finales and I haven't had any problems with those so I wouldn't be too concerned for the moment I guess?
The bigger orange ones look bigger than what you find on the current AG. The smaller orange ones on this look about the same as the bigger ones on the current AG. I know the angles aren't exactly the same, but here they are side by side:
