Who the heck is this kid? On none of the USYNT radars, doesn't even make his Florida development team, but impresses QPR in England enough to get an offer that goes down due to work permit issues and signs with Estudiantes. Anyone seen him play? Know anything about him that wasn't a part of today's Yahoo! sports story?

i know nick and he has not singed for estudiantes he is back in america playing for florida rush. Someone has over reacted with his story. He went to estudiantes for odp and came back later for a 4 week camp(which he paid for) along with 3 other florida odp players. Estudiantes never offered him a contract, not even a trial. He then thought he could make it in england. He went to qpr for a month but was sent back after a week( i am assuming they didnt want him) HIs reason for being back was because of the paper work but hewill not be going back. he doesnt even start on his club team and other then being physicaly huge he is no use to the usmnt

One article says he is 17 so legally he wouldn't be able to sign a deal and move abroad until he turns 18 hence why he is back in Florida.

No FIFA bans the international transfer of children under the age of 18. He wouldn't be able to sign/move abroad until his 18th birthday, its the same reason Luis Gil couldn't sign for Arsenal.

i mean 16 "Cesc nevertheless made his debut for Arsenal not long after, on 23 October 2003, in a League Cup tie at home to Rotherham United. In doing so he became Arsenal's youngest ever first team player, aged 16 years and 177 days"

Players moving from one EU country to another can move freely. Spain and England are both EU countries. Those players can move at 16.

Arsenal exploited the law because in Spain you can't sign a pro deal until your 18, Arsenal signed him because in England you can sign earlier.

I'm pretty sure he was 18. His birthday is in June and he signed in July 2007. He's an '89 so he would have been 18 for over a month.

Its obvious you do not have a large amount of knowledge regarding transfers, work permits, and the EU. You may want to do some research on this topic. It can be complicated but you can figure it out.

so anyways, this May kid is on the front page of yahoo.com. It's be pretty disappointing if that story was a lie, but hey at least, his agent is doing a damn good job. It'd be really bad if this kid managed to sign for Estudiantes with his agent fees going to a guy in England.

I just re-read the quotes from the article. It seems pretty difficult to discern anything other than him signing a contract of some kind
