I am watching the mighty leafs lose another game, this time to Carolina. It is 5-0. What a joke. The toronto commentators, the biggest homers and sanctimonious loud mouth oafs in the league, are making a big deal about moving ponikorosky and Stepniak. Big deal. This team is a mess. One wonders what Burke was thinking trading for Anahaim's third string goalie, now we know, losing doesn't bug him much.

Any trade rumours that might be of interest, preferably not about the crap leafs.

I'm watching the TSN trade coverage online...another 5 more hours of boring dialogue of the same trades.

Pierre Mcguire commented about the Leafs forwards...when you look at the forwards...it's embarrassing. A bunch of AHL'er. It's really scary.

The sad reality is that the Leafs are probably five years away from having a team that could make the playoffs in a 30 team league. How could this have happened to this storied franchise? This is so bad it is sad and pathetic. In the past five years, if the GMs did nothing in the way of trades or free agent signings, and all they did was recruit players using the entry draft, even if they simply used the data obtained from the central scouting agency for their selections, this team would be a lot better than it is today. In today's nhl all it takes to be competetive is a handfull of good young players: note LA and Chicago this season. Imagine how the leafs would look if they had some of the young players that we watched at the olympics? This season, we miss out on a first rounder, and next year to. Burke says he prefers Kesel over the picks, but this is so stupid. He could have traded for Kessel last year straight up for Kaberle, without giving up any draft pick. Whenever these bubbble heads make a stupid trade or signing, they always blame the media for questioning their judgement. But all we have to do is look at the standings. This team is worse two years into Burkes realm. He sucks.

I don't think there was one impact player among the 50 or so bums that were traded yesterday.
