Now he's going to be an assistant coach at the Cosmos. Can someone tell me what the Cosmos is? Is it an actual team? Their website has a lot of stuff about heritage and Pele, but no roster that I can see. Alecko will be an assistant coach, but are there actually any players to coach?
Because anytime you can sign on with a team that doesn't actually exist, you gotta do it...... Actually, I have lost track of the team. They have been bandied about as the 20th MLS team, then USL, then neither....I don't think there is an actual team right now, but they are working on creating one. I think, right as of this moment, the team consists of a logo, some feel-good memories, 56 media relations employees, a couple of assistant coaches, and a twitter account.

Yup, and they actually do have a couple players signed so they have gone from all flash to a little substance. But they are still as wacky and crazy as possible. Did you guys see that they plan to build a $400 mil stadium? For div 2? These guys are lunatics. Alecko is a really nice guy. I really wish he could have played more than just a few games for us. He seemed like he would score quite a few goals with the fire power we had. Happy for the guy.
Actually I believe the Kraken usually starts on the bench so he can be released in the second half. Great sub, The Kraken.
I think The Kraken and At Lantis should be starters. Let them sink or swim. For some reason I think Kraken will be a mainstay in the starting 11, however, not sure if Lantis will be able to stay afloat though.
Hey, can we trade Cosmo to the Cosmos? Always hated that weird little due and don't think we need a mascot.
