Fine. But they won't win it with Alex Smith at QB.

Honestly there is only one team that makes sense for Manning... the Texans

Both sides of the field are set. The defense will only get better with a full off season with Wade. On offense we have the best running back duo in the league and Andrea Johnson, Owen Daniels catching the ball. Were probably going to draft a WR this year too. Good O-Line

Not only that but were all but guaranteed the conference again. Peyton can stick it to the Colts twice a year

    Closed roof stadium as well

Come on Texans; disregard Williams acquire Manning

Yeah, disregard Mario Williams, let the Pats sign him. :)

With Arian Foster´s new contract, there´s no way the Texans can keep Mario Williams after next year.

I heard you guys were going to franchise him? Or wait, can you guys afford that? Not trying to troll, but it will put you over the cap wouldn´t it?

I don't think he'll be franchised. They're probably going to let him walk if he doesn't agree to a deal.

Texans have some deals coming up, so i doubt they give a player that is injured the majority of time big money. its not like sacks were a problem last season.

    I'm ok with that

He would be a 3-4 year solution and he (and Reggie Wayne) will give you the best chance to win?

    Don't you want that?

Don't worry, the Niners and Harbaugh have a system and Manning doesn't play it, West Coast.

At any rate, mark it down, he will NOT be going to any NFC team (because of his brother) and he will not go to the NY Jets (because of his brother).

I think this an outside shot, but it depends if the Texans are so committed to Schaub or not.

Right now, I only see two really good teams he will land at:

    Miami
Kansas City (with my preference being here).

Might there be another outsider AFC team? We'll see.

I see Miami as the perfect place for Manning although I still question what he has left. I think he'll be a shell of himself, but maybe that's wishful thinking.

KC has the tools in place for him to step in and do his thing. If he can produce for 2 or more years, it gives them time to find a good successor...

Houston runs a variation of the west coast as well and we also run a lot of bootlegs. We would have to completely change what we run and I dont see the kubiak doing that. Its an interesting hypothetical to ponder about if he were guaranteed to be healthy but its a longshot. I just dont see us running the shotgun that much with the way our run is setup.

then again the shotgun could work because of the way the run is set up. it definitely opens up the field to sling the ball down field to A. Johnson.

Well Manning can't run the bootleg....and besides, that shit just gets your QB's hurt anyway or they commit stupid turnovers (Rosenfels).

I think that your point is valid though. It would come down to Kubiak and how much he's willing to give. If he wants a Super Bowl shot, he should give. Your team would be ********ing set with a healthy Manning at the helm.

Think about it: the Colts are re-building, the Jags are ALWAYS rebuilidng, and the Titans are in transition. That is 5 easy wins right there.

You got a taste of what the playoffs were about last year.... now imagine having to win only two games on your home turf to get to the Super Bowl?

Let's assume that he is at 2010 health. Is that better than 90 percent of the league?

I get it, he is 36, but I wouldn't bet against him.

Oh yeah, this is coming from self described Tom Brady butt rumper Kerry Byrne.

Terms like Manning is "Another Guy" outdoors and "who has always struggled outdoors and in the playoffs" are hyperbole and sell clicks.

I agree with the age, coming off injury, new team arguments. Those make sense to me.

Sid, Why weren't you around here after this last Super Bowl. You're a Brady butt rumper yourself and I thought you would enjoy the dialogue around here that night.

I guess if the Patriots would have won you would have been here, huh?

Manning isn't above criticism, but something tells me that Kerry Byrne probably wrote that without ever taking his lips off of Tom Brady's cock. He makes some valid points that I agree with, but his slant against Manning has been obvious for years.

I know you're a Lions fan, but you're also a Brady fan. There is nothing wrong with that. I've stated time and time again that he is one of the best of all time.

But I also know how you operate. I had made the claim in these threads that if Brady wins another Super Bowl I would outright say that Brady was better than Manning and that there were many merits to him possibly being the best of all time. I'm positive that you would have been here to make sure that I followed through if the Pats won, yet because they lost......you're a Lions fan.

So the Colts cleaned house. Addai, Clark, Bracket, Bullitt gone and Freeney is on the trading block.

Congrats on getting back to back number 1 picks in the coming years!

Well, RG3 is headed to DC. Skins just traded St. Louis 3 number 1 picks for their 2nd overall pick to lock up RG3.

Wow! I think RG3 will be good, maybe even great but that is a steep price to pay. Good for them they have cap space.
