A few changes announced by NFHS for soccer in a News Release.

2 Yellows not only remove player, but that player now cannot be substituted.
Only a caution on a DOGSO-H if the goal is scored
And a change in when retaking a penalty kick would be appropriate.

Seems like changes closer to USSF Laws.

2012-2013, some of us just started our 2011-2012 season so this does not apply (yet).

Resigned to doing indoor games right now, this gets me thinking of fall evenings out in the sun!

Plus, less differences between HS & USSF to remember is a good thing for me.

Thanks God. Now I don't have to try and sell giving a straight red to a player already on a yellow when it's clearly a yellow card tackle. America is finally growing up about the game and getting in line with the rest of the program.

Now if the can do something about that clock...

With the technology we have today, we don't need a clock operator. The controls to the big screen should be in the hands of the center official or the 4th if the HS goes that route.

True, the technology exists but when we have other threads discussing schools not being able to ensure their players have shin guards due to the cost I don't imagine those same schools could afford to incorporate said technology.

That being said, I don't know any schools in my neck of the woods that actually carry the official time on the stadium. Most just run the clock and stop at 2:00, leaving the CR to handle the rest. NCAA is a different story, of course, and they really could afford to incorporate the technology and probably should, at least at the D1 level.
