Newt Gingrich: 'I bring some scars with my life' This is such an awesome profile on Gingrich. I hope this reporter gets his crack at all the candidates from both parties.
Newt drops some race-baiting dog whistles! Just so there's no confusion, Obama is going to make America look like this: Newt is going to make America look like this:
More disgusting dog whistle bs: He said that he'll be focusing on the economy, American culture and something else. They were talking about it on one of the Sunday morning broadcast network political talk shows. That's about as close to a candidate wearing a KKK robe as you can get.
Well, as long as there'll be Coney Islands and places to watch Wings and Pistons games when I'm not in Michigan, I'll be happy to have Obama turn the US into Detroit. Maybe a longer version of 8 Mile too.

Of course there is nothing about him disagreeing with his party on Medicare. Why would there be in this shithole?
Because that was before he agreed with his party and after he agreed with his party. Are you going to believe the 25 minutes that he disagreed or the lifetime he agreed?
I'd be shocked if the Republicans had enough of a death wish to nominate him. A challenger with a dirty personal history and a reputation as an obstructionist against a centrist incumbent who's Mr. Clean and a compromiser? Forget about it. It would be LBJ vs. Goldwater.
It doesn't really matter who's nominated. Obama isn't losing. Period. Also, Goldwater is a poor example. He lost the election but started a movement. Neither Newt nor anyone who is nominate will come close to doing the same.
"Honey, I'm sorry, but you know how much I love America and working hard. Also, my history of infidelity."
Based on what? Was Bob Dole their best shot? Was Walter Mondale or John Kerry the Democrat's best shot?
To the extent that Kerry was probably a few anti-gay marriage initiatives away from the White House, and got more popular votes than Reagan against pre-Katrina Bush, he certainly had more than a fighting chance (though Howard Dean could have energized the base more, or Edwards may have been slick enough to charm the red states, who knows?).
Shouldn't this thread have been titled the New Gingrich Failure Watch? I thought that was the standard operating procedure these days. And the Voice of the Right already excoriates Newt:
Yes. And since losing there's been times where he's looked more presidential than just about anyone else.
hmm so the media, republicans and democrates are trying to bury Newt as quickly as possible. Hell, hes got my vote!
This illustrates quite well the serious political problem plaguing the Republican party right now. They've conceded too much influence to fringe figures within the party and right-wing newsfotainment celebritites with no accountability. Their bread and butter has been a form of obstructionism so extreme, it requires demonizing the President and so-called "liberals" to the extent that actual compromise becomes politically impossible.

Not sure if this affects your vote, but he's really getting a pass from the media. The idea that he got gotcha'd is entirely his imagination. Also, Democrats don't care.
