    Hallo!
sorry for posting this not so present thread.
I'm doing a research to set a list of the best ever players for every country, so that I will edit all of them with PES 2010.
I would be extremely glad if any of you could help me with creating a 20-25 men squad for New Zealand, and possibly a best XI. Actually I'm just sure about few players, like Frank Van Hattum at goal and obviously Wynton Rufer; I know a lot of NZ players but really I don't know who deserve to be included in this list.
    Please anyone can help me?
    thanks in advance ;)

    Hi,

The below link takes you to a full listing of NZ's representatives along with the number of caps they've earned in "A" internationals - hope this info helps with your project.

If you were to simply take the top 25 names on this list, the likes of Wynton Rufer wouldn't come anywhere near it - he only played in 23 "A" internationals for NZ between 1980 and 1997.

Mmmmm.... very tricky question tbh. I haven't seen some of the older players pre-80, but people have mention a few oldies that were classy players before 82 heroes. Even the debate of Frank Van Hattum vs Richard Wilson rears its ugly head. I personally would have supported Richard Wilson over Frank Wilson as the better Goalkeeper in the 82 squad but never played in the World Cup Finals Tournament but did all the World Cup Qualifying games.

Very interesting topic. There is definitely a couple of real toughies on there. I'll have a crack at this. My knowledge of NZ soccer is a little sketchy though.
