I hope we don't suck this year so that I can buy all these things with no bad memories attached (I'm looking at you, 2010 Gold Cup shirt). Just one thing, does that crest look abnormally large to anyone else? Specifically on the jacket and hero tee.
I like the oversized crest, myself. Though it should be noted that the only images of the front of the hero tee with the crest is in the catalog PDF. That one has a round neck collar whereas the jersey has the v-neck.
Any particular reason why you think the Waldos are going away? I don't think this centennial kit is anything more than a commemorative third jersey. Unless I'm mistaken... anyone have insight?
That is what I've heard as well. It's just going to be a 3rd kit. The "Waldos" will be used during qualifying...not sure if the Centennial will be worn during the Gold Cup or if it really is just a one-off jersey.
The rumor is that we'll be using these kits for the possible games against Germany and Belgium in the summer.
New pic from Eurosport catalog showing the shorts and other items. Really digging this. Supposedly it launches tomorrow. I have heard rumors of both midnight tonight and noon tomorrow. AO originally said midnight and then changed to noon. Not sure if that means retailers can sell at midnight and US soccer announces at noon or what. Curious to see how it plays out. Either way, should be launched within the next 16 hours or so.
Everything in that collection is badass. I love the navy retro jersey. Is that one they will be wearing? I wonder if that's actually a "jersey". My birthday is coming up..............
The whole kit looks really good. US Soccer's page says the hoops/waldos are 12/13 home and the white is 13/14 home. Does that mean some people got their wish and the hoops/waldos are done for good?
I would hope not. Most other retailers are showing it as 12/14 and, to my knowledge, they are using the hoops throughout World Cup Qualifying.
Got mine ordered. The wife got one, too. I cheaped out and got her a youth instead of the women's cut. Saved a little bit of money. I hate that we have matching kits; it's a little dorky --- oh well.........Gotta make sure we don't sport them at the same time aside from the Costa Rica match.
First off, solid move on getting the youth over the women's. However, you're crazy if you think wearing them at the same time is dorky. First off, it will make your wife happy. Second, other women will think its cute that you are matching and in turn will give you attention. Win/win imo.

She's a soccer player at heart but being a fashionista is a close second! I had to test the waters to see if she would wear a jersey. While at work I sent her over the link to Soccer.com. Her response, "what would I wear jersey with??" Back and forth we went. Sold her on the idea "retro" ------ that's fashionable right?? I like where you head is, dude. Good point. However, she's the eye candy even the ladies know that! I have ZERO problem admitting she's waaaaaaay out of my league and I still don't know how I scored that.
