    Re: New USA Kits

That's a pretty narrow definition. And certainly not what people are talking about when talking about kits. Unless you want to put a collage of people from America on your jersey.

And frankly, you can't exclude European, Asian, African, etc. etc. without excluding some part of American culture.

All I said was "the sash looks like it is meant to invoke revolutionary era uniforms." So I'm trying to understand what you can put on a freaking t-shirt that is "American." I mean honestly how do you say that a shirt design is un-American?

I just want a shirt that's a bit neutral. You know, something you can wear to the bar when you're watching the US play, but also something you can wear just hanging around. Something closer to the 2008 shirts than the 2010 ones. The 2010 shirts were a bit too in-your-face (dare I say gaudy...especially the blue and red versions). I blame the double-thick shoulder-to-waist sash, but that's just me.

It's going to surely be home whites, away blues...as it has been, effectively, since the 1980s. One can only hope we won't have the sash/hoops combination that's been touted in this thread.

I hope we don't have that design either....because then we'll have people calling stripes "hoops"! ;)

I agree, you want to be able to wear something out and feel like your wearing a regular shirt and not a costume

    Very well put.

Sash tends towards costume to me.

There are plenty of USA tees out there if you want casual wear.

think of our flag, the stars and stripes are our identity, i think both should be used in our jersey. something like this would be distinctly american:

honoring 1950, it would never be confused with peru, if you see someone wear it you know it means usa. what do you guys think?

We're the "stars and stripes," no the "stars on sash" :p

    Re: New USA Kits

    We could start with this.

Substance - The Penn State football team is among the top 10 percent nationally and owns the Big Ten Conference's No. 2 Graduation Success Rate (GSR), according to data recently released by the NCAA.

    Style - trivial

And that would be Penn State Nittany Lions;)

Thank you for playing but, No where in your ramblings was there a coherent response. Everyone in the strand is now dumber for listening to your response. You receive no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

P.S. Academic Grades have NOTHING to do with the uniform. "Trivial???" Maybe to you who evidently does not know what she is talking about. You probably didn't know this but the Nittany Lion is not on the uniform. Good try Chucklehead :)

People wear football/hockey/basketball jerseys all the time and no one blinks. I don't know why our soccer jerseys should look like Tshirts or polos to be acceptable casual wear.

It's a good idea, in theory, but you've obviously never worn a pixilated jersey before. They hurt in all the wrong areas.

Dude, just trying to have a little fun. My preference is for a less flashy or sashy jersey.

Now you can remove the panties from your crack.

Agreed. Get rid of the sash. This is soccer, not a beauty pageant.

If it wasn't for the Panties crack, we could have been cool...To bad you weren't a cooler guy because I actually think we agree that there could be a better Jersey for the US. But since your not a cooler guy, you can go play on the freeway...

    Re: New USA Kits

I can go either way on the sash, take it or leave it, but US Federation is trying to make this a trademark for Jersey's to come...I think it is out of our hands.
