And as for their visitor jerseys I was thinking of the the 1994 retro look, you know Navy blue top, Red shorts, White socks. For the top though I was make it wear the stars would only be visible when the sun shines on or when you take a picture of it. But I guess everyone has their opinion and to me that's okay.

I heard they are keeping the sash, so I think it will be red/blue or blue/white...Who knows

I dont know how to post a pick from the nike site but after playing around with the different color options here is what i think we might end up with.

Home Red white stripes, ghost sash, white or blue shorts, red socks

Away Navy and Black Stripes, grey sash, black or blue shorts, black socks

I really like your black/blue uniform for a jersey...I think the red and white is nice and probably be it but it reminds me a lot about FC Dallas, Chivas, Paraguay, etc. I still like the red/blue stripes the best but it's still really close to the blue and black... Over all I would like to see:
    1. Red/Blue...Blue Shorts...Blue Socks
    2. White/Grey Ghost...Blue Shorts...White Socks
    3. Your ( Black/Blue for our third jersey but I don't want to wait a year, I wish they would release them all together )

I really like the look of the red and blue stripes, minus the pink looking sash that the nike template maker makes it have. if we go red and blue stripes for one kit, then i see the other kit being white and gray stripes similar to the home kit in 08. If we go that route, id like to see the blue and red kits be the home kits.

hmmm, if you could change the sash to white, it would look pretty good actually.

I also liked the USA vs Netherlands Blue Jersey and White Shorts configuration

So they'd basically just be FC Dallas with a Sash. Yeah I don't want that.

Yeah, I already said that earlier...I agree that is why I said to stay away from the white and red stripes...But White and Grey/Navy Sash or Blue and Red/White Sash and I really like for the third Jersey Black/Navy Blue/ with White Sash would all be Very Nice Uniforms...Look at the ones I posted earlier...

It's not my first choice...Someone said, Nike has stated they are keeping the sash and adding the hoops. I disagree with your opinion...with a white sash, I think it would be just fine.

Almost all military uniforms of the time had sashes. Saying that style/sash is in some way American is like saying pasta is American. :p

It was universal at the time, just like pasta is now.

    Re: New USA Kits

After playing around with the nike template some more. I think that a white and blue striped shirt looks a lot better than a red and white striped top (even though the flag has red and white stripes)

Home: White shirt with Blue Hoops and Ghost Shash, Red Numbers, White Shorts, White Socks

    http://niketeam.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,pdp,ctr-vis&uid=UD17001314

The best possible color combo for this kit looks to be navy and red

Away: Red shirt, Navy Hoops and Ghost Shash, White Numbers, Blue Shorts, Red Socks.

I liked your white and blue but I don't know how it would fit into the 3 jersey package they will be selling. There is one other option that can be worked with but I am not fond it, maybe Nike can do better:

    http://niketeam.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,pdp,ctr-vis&uid=UD17201245

We know this from the past Jerseys:

    1. They like a whited out uniform ( maybe the blue and white would fit there but think there is too much blue there)

    2. They like a dark uniform ( to much white in the hoops for that )

    3. Then usually they switch styles for a third Jersey ( Maybe the white hopes would fit there)

Here is a great website for the history: http://project-2010.net/?p=1275

    Re: New USA Kits

Are we definitly getting a 3rd jersey this cycle? While it certainly makes sense $ wise for nike to put out a 3rd jersey, last years red jersey is the 1st massed produced 3rd jersey that i can remember. Most of our other 3rd jerseys were only worn a couple of times and were not easy to find for purchase. Have we worn the Blue Kits at all since the red ones came out? weve pretty much moved to white kits for home and reds for away.

If we get a third kit im thinking its going to be black. The womans team had black kits at the world cup and the men had a charcoal kit a few cycles ago. I could see a mainly white kit (with either blue or red accents), a Blue and Red kit and a third black kit.

You probably like the Oregon and Maryland football uniform nonsense, to each his own I guess.

Of course I'm Penn State all the way, love the all whites, classy;)

    Re: New USA Kits

If you looked at the Project Website...We continually have had a third jersey. Your right about it hard to find but it has always been offered on the US National Team Website. How it works is the first year two jerseys/ the second year they offer one more jersey. Then after two years, they produce a new cycle.

I like the black idea, it's something we haven't done yet...That is why I liked the Black/Blue Jersey for the third jersey.

    Re: New USA Kits

First of all I hate the Oregon and Maryland Uniforms. And this jersey is nothing like those uniforms so you are comparing apples and oranges. On top of that now I see your taste...Penn State is the worst college uniform of all time and everyone in the world knows it. Even the players who leave that team say how horrible they are. They are boring uniforms for boring people. Navy and Gold is classy, Navy and White is a elementary school uniform:eek:

It looks okay, not that I like it, but for the sake of others, I'll go for the white sash also.

I agree it can be so much better. I still like it a little more than you, but I think is something that will grow on us, especially if we start winning with it :)

Did I say it was American? Why does a kit have to be "American."

Explain to me what "American" means. Because as far as I know it is a term that is very very broad and encompasses many cultures.

Well for the United States(of America) Men's National Team's kit, it should not be European, African, Asian or Australian.
