can't tell from the photo, is that the Match kit of the "Stadium" kit? I went with the Stadium Kit but without numbers/name....I still like it that way. If it is the Match kit (the real/expensive one), can you comment on how it was sized? I think I'm going to get the away "match" kit and they make a warning that they run small/tight. Even the stadium version runs a bit tight, I might have to go XXL on the match version. A skin tight kit looks fine on a fit footballer, not on me anymore!
It looks like mine (Stadium) in the pic. The only way I know how to tell is the match version has the vents on the sides but those aren't in the photo.
It's the stadium kit. It looked pretty similar style wise to the Arsenal away kit I have that runs a little smaller so I went up a size from what I normally get and was happy I did
Spotted the new #usmnt away "bomb pop" kit at a Brooklyn Model's. It's growing on me, sort of...ok, it's not. pic.twitter.com/sPEL3ErIqC— Michael Milberger (@mmilberger) March 22, 2014
Is it just the lighting or does that blue look darker than what was posted before? that looks better imo.
I think it's the lighting. That person said royal blue on twitter. Of course royal blue can be dark or bright so that's a bit useless as a description.
The Waldo is what we should stick with. FU nike ! The mock up above with the classic blue up top would work too. Boycott is in order ......
I know we're all slamming on Nike, but USSF must have the final word on these. I doubt Nike just rolled out these two kits as finished products and gave them to USSF and said, "here you go". Just like with a sports team, there must have been considerable input, if not straight direction from USSF as to this design; they're in charge not Nike. If they told Nike, "these suck, go back and do something different" when they were just sketches in the design phase, we'd have a different kit now. To be honest, I don't really know how these designs get initially proposed and then modified until they arrive at final design. But I think USSF is more to blame than Nike if you hate them that much. Look at some of the other WC kits Nike did, lots of nice ones. http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/2014-world-cup-shirts-info_23787 though I think the Adidas and especially the Puma ones are better.
Cool. I just saw it up close at Dick's Sporting Goods and can confirm that it looks way better in person.
Home jersey growing on me. Still looks like my tennis polos, but what the heck. Away kit is too much.
I don't even know what to make of that away kit...it's pretty crazy. What color shorts are they are going to pair with those things?
I wish they would show the jerseys for the first time they'd show the numbers instead of having it blank. Big game changer.
I think the away is fine. The home is way too bland to justify the price tag. But that's the way it goes -- can't please everyone. At least we don't have two identical designs with a damn sash for this World Cup, and in 2 years we'll have 2 or 3 new shirts for people to moan about / fawn over.
I understand your concerns about the fitted version. Have you seen the away kit yet for sure? Not just the leaked version?
I personally haven't seen the away kit in person, but the photos I've seen, especially of the kit hanging up in stores, makes me sure it's for real. I don't have that much of an issue with it, and in any case I'm going to wait to see it before I pass judgement.
