I actually think argyle can look good (OM's shirts over the years pull it off) , but not with such contrast. You'd have to mix white with light gray/silver for home and red/maroon or shades of blue for the away.
I am trying to buy the new Away Team Jersey customized in Men's size Medium. Unfortunately, they are sold out at US Soccer already! Has anyone bought one from any other site - such as Big Soccer? Are the numbers Authentic, like from the US Soccer site? Is everything the same? I really want the authentic stuff. Answers will be greatly appreciated.

Well that jersey is 17.99 because they are going to sell you a fake jersey. If you are fine with that, go ahead. Just letting you know.
Evidently not. Should have bought one in September when I had the chance. Thought I would like the World Cup kits better. Was I ever wrong.
All i can say is that they are far better than the stripes, which made me go cross eyed and bonkers. At least now we look like a half-way respectable national outfit, not a second division club team.
It doesn't look as bad when the lighting is weak and you can trick yourself into believing that those are the colors on our flag. Actually . . . no, still looks hideous.
Sweet...this weekend I'm going to order a Stadium Kit with Bradley's name and #4 just like this one. I went to the local shop and checked out the away kit and I have to say that I like it. I don't love it, I liked the Waldo better, but I think it's good looking and I like the boldness of it. I think it would have been better with the colors of our flag too. But I think it's way better than any of the sash models or some of the totally ugly kits from years past. I compared the stadium jersey with the match jersey and to me the differences in style, quality, material were negligible. I was going to splurge on the match jersey for Brazil but now I'm going to settle for the stadium jersey. $150 vs. $90 is a big difference and I didn't see a $60 difference. The huge difference is in sizing. I normally fit well into a US X-Large shirt, but the match XL was really tight all over, especially across the chest and in the shoulders...as well as my gut! It was more like a typical Large. The stadium XL fit me perfectly, it's significantly bigger than the match version in every way. I tried a stadium XXL and it fit like a tent, it was massive. The one size they didn't have was a Match XXL, which I would have liked to try. If it fit well I might have ended up buying it. The nice part is our local shop (Soccer Loco) gives a 10% discount online with an additional 10% off for AO members. Plus free shipping.
I really doubt it. Nike is a major US Soccer sponsor and a US company while Puma is German. I do think Puma's designs for this WC are terrific though, they've made some of my favorites. Nike is perfectly capable of designing great kits, they just fell short this time around which is disappointing because it's for the World Cup.
Puma isn't even the premier German sports gear manufacturer. That'd be Adidas, started by the brother of Puma's founder.
Interesting tidbit, Adidas' founder was named Adolf "Adi" Dassler. I always assumed it was an acronym of some sort.
Convenient nickname, amirite? The story goes that the brothers hate each other due to some misunderstanding when Rudolph Dassler (the shoes started out as "Ruda", but they changed the name) moved his family into his brother's bomb shelter during an air raid. There's a book about it.
