FYI: I was at dicks sporting goods in upland to get the white one for my son and they had the away ones on the rack. It was an accident and they weren't allowed to sell it to me lol! ... But not before I got a picture! Looks like someone is in trouble. I guess the rumors were right.
Why? Why would nike or USSF think anyone would think these look good? Forget good....acceptable? They are embarrassing. Hopefully we wear the whites every game.
Yup. I saw those on the rack at Dick's as well and they were by far the fugliest. As usual, Germany and Argentina were all class.
They were on sale at Sports Authority today... I actually kind of liked them until I saw them in person.
I wish the Dicks in metro Atlanta carried soccer kits. All you see here is college football gear. SEC everywhere.

Sounds like a lot of stores are jumping the gun and putting them out. So how does the cashier know they can't sell it? Or are they like locked to the display somehow like they do with expensive leather jackets and stuff like that? I'm still holding off judgement until I see it. I still look at the other countries' WC kits in envy, some of them are awesome. IMHO the Puma line is best, followed by Adidas then Nike. As for what we'll wear, I don't know if it's been released yet but looking at the schedule on the FIFA web site, USA is listed second vs Ghana and first vs Portugal and Germany. So I was assuming that meant we are away vs Ghana and home vs the other two, which doesn't mean anything other than which kit we wear. My plan is to buy the match version of the away kit and get number 4 and Bradley on it and wear it to the Ghana game. I don't know if I'm even going to bring my home white kit with me to Brazil as the other two US games I'll be watching in a bar and it's 100% sure I'll end up getting beer and who knows what else spilled on it and probably ruining that shirt.
The cashier tried to scan the price tag and it wouldn't scan. The manager came out and said the scan would work on the 27th. The jerseys have been on the shelf since Saturday at the upland california Dick's.
I already have the home and away replicas but I got a peek at both of the player issue models. The material is very similar to the replicas but more of a mesh on the back side. The crest is more detailed as far as the stitching technique (similar to the centennial replicas vs. authentics). Instead of the bottom hem wrapping all the way around like the replicas, it has a little opening at the bottom which makes it a bit less snug at the waist. Obviously the side venting and the fit are different too. Something about the way the authentic looks on the body is nicer. I can see myself springing for one of these despite already having both replicas. Lastly, here is the leaked Nike stock photo of the player issued shirt which I never saw posted here. Still no clear shots of the shorts or socks. The only one so far was the full display in the store but the quality wasn't that great. At least we know it's red shorts with a tonal red crest...I just want to see nicer pictures of them.
I'll say it: These kits suck. I miss the Denim stars now. Of course, if we advance from our group wearing these kits, I am sure everybody will love them.
I had luck last month going into my local Modell's and asking if they had a Centennial jersey in my size. They were able to pull one from another store and ship it to my local store at no extra cost.
