Stan Kroenke's tax deduction is succeeding so far. Less than 1500 STH's. Wow. I'd figure they had approximately 3,000. They really screwed up with the location of the Dick. Commerce City is a real pain to get to, especially from a public transportation perspective. They have FC Dallas-ed themselves out of the Denver realm.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here it is. They used the Beth Steel logo on the back of the collar, and the "B" logo is on the bottem left hem. Like the old school Bimbo Logo!
looks cool....i guess. No blue, no gold. Must the bimbo be in red? Couldn't the stripes be union blue? the BSFC should have been placed on the right arm. scratch that.......it looks ehhhhhh.
Ah, I've only seen replicas for sale, never "authentic" versions. It's also been a few years since I've bought one. Edit: Just saw the linked kit above. A resounding "meh" from me.
I'll be buying it on Saturday. Hopefully I get it in time for the Rapids match. That's easily the best jersey in MLS, and the best jersey in the Union's short 4 year history.
just a little surprised that the Union crest isn't centered as it seemed that was a sticking point previously. Overall I like it.
If they weren't going to center the badge I would have at least liked to have seen the alternate crest used. It's not bad, but I'm not as excited as I thought I would be. Maybe it'll look better in person.
I'm a bit underwhelmed... its not bad by any stretch of the imagination.... I'm just not crazy about it.
I love the fact that they tie the club to the great history of BSFC. Wonder if it was difficult to get the rights to do so. Still, the Jersey represents 100+ years of soccer history in the region. Hopefully casuals will begin to understand the long history of the sport in the US in general and the Philly region specifically. BTW- having tried it on...it is the shizzzle.
well if they won't make it in replica they saved me a bunch of money, not dropping that kind of coin to look like a stuffed sausage in it
I like it. But hate the v-neck. I'm glad people are excited though. I will add it to the growing list of Union tops I've never owned (all of them).
I have been trying to do research on this but it maybe true. The logo is Bethlehem steel's logo which they may have augmented with the FC addition. I know from their history they simple used variations of a "B" on their left chest.
Bethlehem Steel FC has 5 open cups to their name.... is it just me or does that make this a no brainier to wear during USOC competition? (please have some consistency this time Union!)
I dont like it at all. the big read bimbo logo takes too much away from the tame black and white design. The Bethlehem Steel logo was nice to insert, but i feel as though it is rather small and illogical. I would have much rather seen possibly a big Steele logo on the upperchest area with a white bimbo logo under and no union crest. Well thats what i was hopping for at least not gonna lie none of the jerseys so far this year have wow'd me at all and fall more towards disappointment.
