Debate between the wife and I as to where to go for our 5th wedding anniversary (Oct. 21). New Orleans or Asheville, NC. I prefer New Orleans.
and this gave you away Went to the Motagua game in New Orleans last week. couldn't be any more prouder of where I'm from. lol
Yea. I hate Olimpia too. To much of a bandwagon team. Even Mexicans down here rock Olimpia jerseys lol
Bump - heading to New Orleans to celebrate my 50th birthday, which is on Mothers' Day. We're flying there on May 11th, coming home on May 19th. I can't wait!
My 50th is Thursday and if gas wasn't $9Gillion a gallon, and I had some time off, I would have loved to go home for my birthday
Thanks, I'll try to remember in May. My wife is May 11, son May 16th, I could go on, but May is a busy b-day month for me
Ours is June. My sister is the 2nd, our wedding anniversary is the 3rd, my mom is the 4th, my wife's brother is the 6th, my sister's husband is the 21st.
I wanted to go early - about a week ago and head back home today. But Mrs E wouldn't agree to heading to NOLA for Mardi Gras at least this year. I told her my bucket list contains four items to attend Carnevale/Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday in New Orleans, Venice Italy, Trinidad & Tobago, and Rio de Janeiro. She's cool with all of those after we retire.
I hit up New Orleans for four nights for the BCS Championship Game in January. Was my fourth or fifth visit to the city and I love it more everytime. The trip was made even better by the fact that Alabama won.
The toughest choice now is where are we going to go for my birthday dinner. Herbsaint, Restaurant August, Commander's Palace, Emeril's, Cochon, somewhere else? Life is so difficult sometimes
We went to August and Herbsaint in June 2010, so we're kind of leaning towards Commander's Palace for my actual birthday. But we'll be there for an entire week, so I'm guessing we'll certainly eat at as many good restaurants as we possibly can on this trip.
Yep. Next time I go I'm definitely going to one a Besh restaurant. Commanders would be good, but I've done it. It occurs to me that I've never eaten at one of Emeril's restaurants, either. That's the problem with that town - so much great food, so little time.
I've been to Commanders, and one of Emeril's, so Besh is next. Also went to Antoine's with US Soccer back in 1999. Ate like a king that night. I wish I still got to eat for free on other people's money.
This winter has been weird so far. On average it's been sorta warm and muggy which is weird because it was dry this summer. Damn La Niña! I miss rain lol
I second that motion. Its almost March and its freezing down here with spots of cold rain. Unfortunately for us in high school, we're forced to play under this weather. Got used to playing on mud rather quickly. The weather definitely had sympathy on us for Rex this past Monday. Beautiful day for a beautiful parade.
