Color scheme is OK but I'm confused about the sponsor? I thought Seattle was sponsored by Massengill Disposable Douche?
I see what you did there-XBOX-Disposable Douche-. Seattle Snappers FC Still like those black third jerseys though.
1. I reject the use of the words "tops" and "bottoms". Ladies wear tops and bottoms. Guys wear shirts or jerseys and shorts or pants. 2. We can't? Why not?
#1 reminds me of that Sudakis EPL on NBC promo-commenting on 3/4 pants-"nice pants, where did you get those? The women's section?" as for #2-Something about that much orange with those socks-makes them look too busy. But the all white-that's actually has a nice clean look to it. I can definitely dig it. But then again-I like us in all orange at home and all white on the road, when the occasion warrants it. But honestly when you are the only team in the league with orange-do you really need to even have more than one jersey?
yep-I am waiting for Newtex to analyze that. I think that may be the only time we actually do wear whites. I definitely recall wearing them at Toronto the last few years.
I need to buy one of those sharp new authentics before they splash some sponsor's name across the chest.
It is actually a bit of a mixed bag. We do tend to wear white at Chicago, Columbus and Toronto but not always. In 2013: April 14 - Houston Orange v. Chicago Red April 20 - Toronto Red v. Houston White June 1 - Columbus Yellow v. Houston Orange June 22 - Houston Orange v. Toronto Red July 27 - Houston Orange v. Chicago Blue August 3 - Houston Orange v. Columbus White August 10 - Real Salt Lake Red v. Houston White September 1 - Chicago Red v. Houston White September 4 - Columbus Yellow v. Houston White Basically we wear orange at home no matter what the other team wears. We often wear white on the road at these teams but not always.
I do not like it when other teams wear red while the Dynamo wear orange. It makes the match a bit more difficult to follow. It happened twice last season, and there were some complaints. The referee should not allow this.
there was an odd situation back in '97 or '98 with the Scum. They were on the road and only brought their whites. The ref said they were too close to the other team's uniforms. (might have been Chicago) and made them change-problem was they had no other jerseys. They wound up wearing their pregame jerseys. They almost forfeited the game. Things were really wild in the old days. I was at a Metrostars match in year one. They had a black jersey (home), and all white (away) and a half and half jersey (honestly they never wore the thing, I think they only sold that one to the public). They were wearing black at home that night. We're in the 3rd deck and my bud, does a double check with the sub in the second half and notices he's wearing the half and half jersey (in all fairness it was all black on the back and half and half on the front). Ref never noticed, or if he did, he didn't say anything.
So there was some truth in the new crest. Not redesigned but it's new. So maybe the home kit will also have this crest.
The guy crossing the ball is wearing all black and the other players are wearing the half and half jersey.
Gio was the man. The ESC did a thing for him about ten years ago, to honor him for something or other. He shows up at the bar and starts singing (in Spanish and English) their supporter songs. I wonder if any of our players know any of our songs.
As a fan of MLS back then I recall Gio's "bond" with the folks up at the Shit Pit. It doesn't surprise me that he would be this down to earth and actually sing the team songs in a bar years on from his playing days. As much as it pains me to say this, they probably could sing DALE DYNAMO and not much else. Recall most American soccer players are not soccer fans. The opposite of how NFL and NBA players are who grew up watching their sport and continue to do so. Our soccer lads grew up with nobody in the stands watching them and really look at "watching" soccer as a big wash. Mully flat out told me "Oh, I don't watch soccer." To which I was left speechless. Iffin' y'all bitcheS know me well enough, fuking never happens. You are a boss winger, a pro for fuks sake, and you don't ever watch say...um...the FUKING WORLD CUP!!! Say it ain't so Mully!!!
I played with a guy when we were in high school (he went to another school but we played on the same summer league teams on occasion). He went on to be a HS AA, 4X NCAA AA, 3X NCAA Champ, USA Gold medalist at the U19 World Games, and is still in the top ten in assists in MLL despite only playing 3 SEASONS. He had his number retired by his MLL team. He even went on to marry a former USWNT (soccer) player. I read an article on the guy, and someone asked him something similar to the Mully question, and he responded with-I am a NY Rangers STH. I kinda got the feeling he was sick of lacrosse.
