Did I completely miss something? Anyone else heard this? Or is this website just making things up?

    Hmmm. Doesn't seem likely.

    This is probably an error.

Notice that the last line is "both Houston Dynamo 2014 shirts will be unveiled in February". We only have one new shirt to unveil.

Not if the home is getting the redesigned crest. Then we'd technically be getting two new shirts.

That would make more sense. I was trying to think why you would release a new crest on the new away jersey when the home jersey outsells the away by a wide margin(at least I assume it does). This would be a way to get people to buy another version of the jersey they already have.

Yup, I'll buy another home if it has a new crest. Hopefully we get some more news soon. I wanna see this redesigned crest if it is true.

A question for the Anglophiles or the actual Anglos like Sir Nigel. Isn't the use of the word "kit" a collective word that does not require an "s?" The team will be getting new Away Kit, not new Away Kits.

The Dynamo do have several kits if you insist on using the word. But they have Home Kit, and Away Kit, and a Third/Alternate Kit, not Home Kits, Away Kits, Third Kits. The "s" sounds wrong to me. (and yes I'm anal about word usage. Sorry!)

    Thank you!

Although I suppose if they were both the orange and white at home at least once, then de facto, they have home kits?

NO!!!! It's the designated Away Kit being worn in the wrong place! It's not a defacto Home Kit! :D

ok . . . .BUT . . . . haven't we worn different combinations of shorts and socks with the home jersey? Wouldn't that be in fact various kit"s"? :) :)

    They're called strips.

Personally I'm glad if they're keeping the crest. I agree that it's not the world's greatest design, but it's the one they used to win two Cups. And it's the one they have worn as one of the winningest teams in the league since 2006. I'm a traditionalist with this sort of stuff. The crest may be goofy, but it's our crest dammit!

Actually I think the normal use of that word does not have an "s" either. It's Home Strip, not Home Strips.

That is correct, Home strip, and away strip, but when talking about both it is strips. Very similar to jersey, or uniform. Just add the letter S to make it plural, such as uniforms, or jerseys, or strips, shirts.

I may be weird, but I don't mind the Dynamo Crest. Its better than the remake SJ just did.

I like it also. I wouldn't mind if they removed the 1970 style soccer ball from it though. It ruins it for me.

MLS made the Dynamo pull the design back until they were able to work a rainbow element into it :). It will be standard for all MLS kits going forward.

I made a comment on the article and they said this in response, "We have just seen a detail of the kit, on which the crest looked new."

Maybe they just didn't know what the crest looked like. They have changed the story. It now says this:

hmmm-only a new white jersey this year and no third or new home. The away jersey is white. told you my source is solid. So don't save your pennies for a new third at least for few years.
