Rumor: New Kits? Or No?

Updating the totals with the new the kits from the nwsl shop:

(I separated it into home,away, and alternate as some teams have a different kit for away and we know Portland has the red as home, so I assume the black is an alternate)

 

Still not enough "Color Variation" among nine franchises.

On the front page photo, one kit stands out WAY above the rest

Also, I noticed no current WNYF away nor the sky and white hoops of Chicago. Portland didn't release a black kit did they?

 

So last season 6 out of 8 teams wore Hertha for 75%
And last season 13 out of 19 total jerseys were Hertha for 68.4%

This season 7 out of 9 teams have Trophy II as one of their jerseys for 77.8%
And so far 11 out of 18 jerseys are Trophy II for 61.1%

 

No, the evil red jerseys were the road kits, although they only wore them in 2 road matches. The one time they wore them at home was against Washington in June, and that was because Washington only had their road kits, which were white, so the Flash changed to the red. And it may have brought them good luck for once, since that was the match that Lloyd scored her hat trick.

I have to say I am NOT impressed with the Flash's 2014 kit if that is indeed their kit. Talk about boring.

 

WNY also wore the red kits at home in both of their playoff matches against Sky Blue and Portland.
And WNY wore special pink kits in one of their televised matches at home on Fox Soccer.

 

89% of NWSL matches this yr. will feature at least one team on the pitch wearing some kind of blue on their kit.

 

I bet Portland ends up wearing the black kit quite a bit this year (they can wear it home or away).
It has more of an intimidating look to it.
It's most definitely their "Darkside" kit.

OK, apparently the Boston away jerseys aren't exactly like the ones up on the NWSL Shop.

He did confirm there's a collar and we know they're white from the picture, but he's saying there's some color. So my guess is they'll be like this:

So they will have a red jersey, but I think the white one is their primary.

 

Do they not realize that their yellow logo would look totally SWAG on a yellow kit?

Nothing flashy about the Flash. Quite the contrary... zzzzzzz...

They couldn't even do something like, say, Belgium...

 

Oh, boy. It's the devilish offspring of the evil red jersey.

 

So I see where WNY abandoned their pink version.
That was a big mistake.

 

They couldn't get a full size sponsor logo on the jersey. I see they didn't have to get an orthopedic sponsor.

 

I always thought Sahlen should get in the sauce industry as well. They can put Heinz 57 and A1 out of business. They can get their own BBQ sauce, and horse raddish, and all that stuff. Could you imagine a bottle of steak sauce on the front of the kit next to the crest? It would be magnificent.
