Rumor: New Kits? Or No?

That's about all we have to go on for now. So there will be new kits, but nothing custom and it looks like at least the Striker model (the one in the SBFC pick) will still be used.

 

Yeah, those are the only hints of kits that I've heard, too. New, but not yet custom. I'm just glad Sky Blue is bringing back the orange. I just hope they bring back the sky blue as well. And I hope Portland goes green.

 

And Seattle needs to wear a lime green kit, with examples of that specific color shown below.
It would be Nike of course.

 

In my incredibly amateur opinion, I would like to see
Boston Breakers: home royal blue, away white (the only team I think that can call that royal blue THEIR color)
WNY Flash: home black, away yellow
Sky Blue: home orange, away sky blue
Washington Spirit: home red, away ???
Chicago: home light blue, away white/red?
Houston: home orange, away ???
Kansas City: home navy blue, away white? (as they are the Blues, but go with a navy blue to differentiate between them and Boston, who has to have the royal blue by default)
Seattle: home purple, away ??? (the royal color)
Portland: home green, away ??? (because...THORNS)

God damn this is difficult when you just stick with regular colors. I'm out of real options, frankly. Ideally each team would have two individual colors that no one else uses ever (my idea of WNY Flash's black/yellow), but we've got 9 teams so that's 18 colors and you're gonna be splitting hairs. That's why patterns are important. I think that Spirit should have a Stars jersey and a Stripes jersey. I could see Chicago doing some sort of GIANT red star type thing (place it off centre, super zoomed in, etc.); Flash could work with, yanno, their actual logo, as could the Breakers.

Sigh.

You are aware that the Reign's official colors are blue, black, and platinum???

 

You are aware that a teams colors can change? Especially one that's only been around for 1 year.

 

Seattle should definitely go with Purple, Emerald Green, and Dark Sea Blue, as their new colors.
They can have 3 different kits. The purple one could be this exact shade of purple with white shorts (purple trim).

 

This is excellent. I'm not as inclined to "let" Reign have green, because I think that a deep forest green should be the Thorns' main color (THEY'RE THE THORNS COME ON!), but I ADORE this kit.

 

Thorns are only green while they are young/budding. As they mature they will turn to a reddish color and then to brown.
