New KC Road Trip Info

Game Information
Okay, we will be standing in section 228, which kinda sucks.



Flags, banners, drums, and streamers are approved. Ticket rate is still pending, but will be either $15 or $20. You need to call Sam Pierron in the KC Ticket Office to reserve your tickets. His number is 913.387.3400. THIS GAME IS EXPECTED TO SELL OUT, SO DON'T DELAY IN CALLING ABOUT THIS. TICKETS MUST BE RESERVED BY 6/1.

We have been invited to the Cauldron tailgate, which is not to be missed. The food is incredible. There is no charge for visiting supporters, but donations are encouraged.

Hotel information
We have a block of 10 rooms reserved at the Country Inn and Suites that shares the parking lot with the Wizards' stadium. Each room is a 2 queen beds nonsmoking. One person from each room needs to call the hotel (contact information below) to confirm their reservation no later than 5/24. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CALLING TO RESERVE YOUR OWN ROOM WITHIN THE BLOCK! AFTER 5/24 THE ROOMS WILL BE RELEASED FOR GENERAL SALE AND THESE ARE THE LAST ROOMS IN THE HOTEL WITH 2 BEDS. The rate is $109 per night before taxes. (Kevin, you'll need to call and modify your reservation, I wasn't able to do it myself.)

Haha! Our street cred is so massive they didn't put us in the party deck as had been anticipated because of our streamers! (that or we just aren't expected to bring enough people to make the party deck a viable choice due to cost)

I see drums are approved, does that include more cowbell?

I just bought two tickets to the game. I have a couple of friends in KC but haven't talked to them yet about going to the match. If they can't make it I'll have an extra ticket. I should know by the end of the week whether I have an extra ticket.

I'm flying out Saturday morning.

Just booked my flight - getting in to Kansas City on Saturday @ 10:20 am. I have 2-3 seats in my rental car if anyone else is flying in around then and would like a ride.

I think the Crew reserves play a game out in KC on Sunday morning. I'd love to go to this match too. If we're going all the way out there, we might as well watch two matches instead of one.

If we have enough people that can stay, we have use of the reserve field for a supporters game to be played on Sunday morning before the reserve game. Just gotta see if we have 11 people to play.

We have a field reserved at the training complex for a supporter match. We will have access to the Field Turf field for a Supporter match at 8:30 am on Sunday morning, with the Reserve match to follow. Hopefully, you guys will bring enough, if not...I am sure we will have enough to loan you a few players. Should be a good time all around!

Safe trip, and we'll see you guys in a week and a half.

I purchased 2 tickets, one for my girlfriend one for me. We'll be there. Flying out of Indy @ 745 AM getting to KC around noon, will have a rental car from the airport to the hotel around that time if anyone needs a ride.

I called last week and ordered my ticket, but their credit card mechanism was down at the time and they just took down all my info. I just checked now, and my card hadn't been charged yet, so I called them and they said that was an oversight on their part and they would charge me today.

I honestly couldn't tell you if I was one of the 8 or not.

So they are having a Chili Cook Off @ the Tailgate on Saturday.

If they let me (and loan me a couple pots and pans and a spatula) I might join in the challenge!

To all making the trek: take some pics to share with the rest of us; my group which is headed out to L.A. for the 'Nats match this weekend has been unsuccessful in trying to find a place that has Direct Kick. So, unfortunately, following on our cellys will have to do. Represent well; Columbus 'til you die.

To everyone who is coming - We would like to invite you to the tailgate as well. All visiting fans (except Houston) eat free of charge (oops, requested donation) as you are already our friends in soccer. (Long story dealing with lots of bureaucratic crap.)

We start serving at 5 p.m. and wrap up around 6:30. All the food and non-alcoholic drink is provided..
