Hello I am a new MLS and DC United fan and I am hoping to attend my first match at RFK this Sunday at 5PM. I have a few questions though, how do I get tickets to stand with the Barra Brava people, how much does it cost and when and where do I need to go? Thanks for any help.
Welcome to the DCU boards. I'm sure there will be someone from the Barra Brava along shortly, who can steer you in the right direction for tickets.
Welcome aboard. You can get tickets at our booth which is off to the right after you go thru the tunnel from Lot 8. Tickets are $22. Your best bet is to come down to our tailagte beforehand and get to meet our people. Lots of friendly folks always happy to meet new people that want to join the Barra. There's no better way of knowing all the ins and outs of La Barra than hearing it from our people firsthand. For additional info click on my Barra Brava link below, then click on tailgate for directions and other usefull info. Once you're at the tailgate, ask for Chico, Big Rob, Marshall or Srdan. We'll introduce you around and get you pointed in the right direction.
Both the Barra and the Screaming Eagles have ticket booths at RFK just outside Gate B. You can get more information at either of the sub-fora here at the United board ( the barra Brava or the SE FAQs) or on the interwebs at this place for the Barra and here for the Eagles. They stand side-by-side over there on the bouncy side. Either would welcome you, as would La Norte. Lots of places for a supporter to be, new or old. Welcome.
Thank you very much, how early should I arrive? See on the link they have the songs/chants listed so hopefully know them well enough for Sunday. Hopefully be a good match with DC winning.
For a 5:00 game we should have people there as early as 1:30 or 2:00. We share all our drink and food so if you want to contribute anything, feel free. If not, help yourself anyways.
And another new fan - My dad at the NE Rev game - Didn't tailgate but still had a great time - At 90 would he be the oldest newest DC United Fan?
Only if you purchase the minimun annual supporter fee. Thinks it's about 15 bucks. Goto mybigsoccer in the upper left of the menu bar up top.
And your women too - He likes to tell all the chicks his middle initial "A" stood for "Available" - Now it also stands for "Adorable"
Just wanted to thank all of Barra Brava who treated me so well and fed me so well. Hopefully better result against New York, thanks again everyone! Vamos. Vamos United. Esta noche, Tenemos que ganar.
It was nice meeting you DC06 - I love the dedication. I hope you did enjoy yourself, even if the team didn't want to waste a win on your visit (they only had 4 left for the year, and we need them the next 4 weeks)
Might just go to a bar and confuse the locals and cheer on United Vamos. Vamos United. Esta noche, Tenemos que ganar
