I guess I'm hoping the shirt will grow on me if I see it in person. My problem is that it has a hint of red to it. ...and I never wear red.
haha-I bought a Howard jersey a few summers back at Goodison and then walker over to Anfield. Walking through some back allies and some punks see my Everton bag and start staring at me. Then I notice one of them has a Lpool shirt on. I just waved and said "Howdy!" They just shook their heads, but I think my friendly Texas greeting might have save me in that alley.
The shirt definitely looked better in the daylight and looked more orange. I am still on the fence though. How many of y'all have bought one?
I like it, I just don't want to spend money. But there were a lot of them at the stadium today, and lots of people snapping them up in the team store.
Here's one of the other conversations I had today. I stopped Canetti and told him about the @ChrizG13 situation and then mentioned the new jersey. It all started when he went up to somebody in line, and said nice jersey and touched the new jersey he was wearing. I said, "well that's your opinion". We went into a conversation about how he's happy they're flying off the shelves and he asked what color I would have preferred. I said Space City Blue, he went into a whole conversation about how would you like it if we looked like SporKs. I said, "well if it meant we would get space city blue, then I would have dug it." Before I could say something about every color being repeated already as @newtex mentioned, he walked away and I'm pretty sure he was a tad annoyed. C'est la vie. To answer your question......they're flying off the shelves almost as if people were awaiting any opportunity to buy a new jersey from the Dynamo. I mean it's not like the Greenstar one hasn't been out for a while already.
Almost got it but they only had small and 2XL by the time the dynamo started their scrimmage... I'll just wait for the NEW design next year.... Should we start a 2013-14 speculation thread or just make this the jersey thread. Same sponsor. Different look I expect more space city blue. They will agree to our demands.
I wanted the road jersey to be space city blue back in the early days. Then COR & SKC adopted the color so I think the opportunity is lost. I hate it how so many teams are wearing similar colors. I love the distinction of the Orange. So I'm in both camps. I agree Space City Blue would have been great but now the right thing to do is stick with Orange.
Just wanted to point something out. Do you know how much our Fo hates the Space City Blue? So much so the only place I could find that color in the stadium was in a mens bath room. One of the walls was painted Space City Blue. okay so that's all for my Space City blue rant. Next up ,the jerseys in person. Got to admitt they don't look as red in the sun , I still wouldn't wear one but my damn son wants one. The only way he gets one if his grandma buys him one,damn it! hahaha F**** Y** CANETTI!
Canetti does not respond to criticism well... one of my firends (a STH) was at an event between his company and the Dynamo and in a one on one conversation he asked when we would get a marquee name DP, and my friend said Canetti kind of snapped back and said "did we need one last year?"
I've never spoken to the man, and don't know what he responds to or not. But try to imagine being Chris Canetti and how many times he must have had to answer that question. If it were me I'd probably be responding to almost everyone with a really simple "STFU about the DP will ya!"
Agreed... but at the same time, just like the spock comment about the jersey, he could just spit out a PC answer. With that said, he does get props for "keeping it real."
