Not sure if it made much of a difference, but the Club Seat Holders were each given a free authentic jersey last week at the watch party...

Just to clarify, Club Seat holders who renewed before 12/31/11 qualified for a new primary jersey. The watch party was the the opportunity to pick up the jersey.

That it what I understood, but if they were just giving out jerseys willy nilly, I'll be upset.

Willy Nilly is too much effort with not enough real financial net benefit for the FO. It's either Willy or it's Nilly, but not both.

    Carry on . . .

I also saw a lot of the new home and away jerseys Saturday night. All replicas though I believe. I didn't get a chance to make it to the stadium store, does anyone know if they have the authentics for sale?

I disavow any knowledge of financial net benefit.

No mention of qualifying for the jersey...just a watch party for CLub Seat Holders (and family and friends)...with a jersey fitting...also a coupon for putting a name on the back, and if you couldn't make it to the watch party you could pick up your jersey at a home game...(one per seat)...the tag says $110.00...

They also gave out MLS pint glasses, Quaker Oats cookies and bars, Magnets, a great buffet including reuben sandwiches, homemade chips and pretzels, veggie plate w/cheese sauce and two free alchoholic beverages (water and soda was free) and if you were lucky enough to win the raffle, a bottle of Jameson's and a gift certificate for an Irish Pub downtown...I was lucky enough.

Yep they had authentic ones in the store for the low low price of $119.99.

Ha. Season ticket holder discount of 20% though right? Good to know either way.

Remember when we used to think $60 for a jersey was outrageous?

And we all walked uphill in the snow, both ways to Soldier Field to support the Fire . . .

Welcome to the club old man. MAWG, can't touch this!

I just saw the new kits for the Minnesota Stars FC.

The numbers on the aways have images of the supporters and the supporters logo (Dark Clouds) are on the back, above the number.

This would have been a great touch for the FIRE away kits, especially for the loyal S8OT supporters.

fireman, you're joking right? That's hideous and probably difficult to read from a distance.

From a distance the detail probably blends into a solid color.

If the S8 photo they use is primarily red in color, it would stand out perfectly well on our navy New England away jersey.

The number in the picture has areas of light and dark. I could see that six being confused with an eight.

Interesting to see Quaker on latest Time magazine's "The Culture" page.

  18. And more importantly, why is Steve Nash modeling minor league kits?
