I think the folks at Boca see a little bit of Oscar Cordoba in Neko and want to relive the good old days when they actually won Championships.

    :p

    I hope it happens.

Once Caldas has more history than the two of them.Millos hasn't done shit since I have been born and I am not that young and they have Delgado who is a really good keeper on the bench.

Equidad is a great team and should be winning championships but being on that team will keep him off the NT radar. You need to be at Junior, Nacional, Once Caldas, Dept Cali to be on the NT

Sad but thats the way it looks with the last 2 coaches call ups, if our coachs weren't such regionalistas then we would see way way more Tolima, Equidad guys on our NT for years

PLease explain me the bold sentence, like I asked you yesterday: Why do you think that Equidad should win the championship? were they better then Nacional in any time during this tournament? I don't think so.

It's all good, but you don't say that a particular team deserve to be champ according on one game when you have another one in less the a week, at the opponent's stadium. Nacional was the better team in this whole tournament with Once Caldas and surely deserves it much more then Equidad. Since there isn't "deserve" in football, all I can hope is that we will win by 2 goals and if Equidad will win then I'll congratulate them but it doesn't mean that they deserved it more then Nacional.

After his performances the last couple of matches I am sure someone in Argentina will pick him up.

I know this forum for 6 years and I know that after this Copa people will start to ask for Neko as the first keeper BUT with all the respect to him, and he is a wonderful keeper, I thikn that Ospina is our most talented keeper right now and should be no. 1 for the qualifiers until he proves different.

When it comes to keepers maturity is almost as important as pure talent... Neko has shown that he commands respect and provides a presence that Ospina so far has not offered... Furthermore he is less prone to make stupid mistakes... Ospina is good but I like what I'm seeing right now...

    I agree.

Neco is a cool cat right now and very calm in between the sticks. He also sets up the defensive walls better and from what I have seen is a better Keeper when it comes to saving Free Kicks and Penalties.

Ospina is a fantastic talent but maturity and wisdom give Neco the advantage in my book.

Look Neko hasn't played as many good teams. Don't give me that Argentina Argument either.... they suck and will prove it when they lose or tie Costa Rica. He has not really even been tested yet. The teams we have play'd have been so bad that Yepes and Perea look like they did 6 years ago when they were actually beastly.

Ospina has European experience and does abroad, until Neco does the same he is kind of screwed unless we somehow lift the Copa America thats the only way Ospina loses his spot.

On a side note Racing of Argentina is now the main team interested in him. Boca just signed a keeper so that option is out and I really prefer he doesn't go to Mexico, would be great if we make it far and a European team picks him up.

Dapip is on the money as usual. Neko aka spiderman was doing awesome in Europe. I know some of you might bring up argument that he was playing for a third tier club from Turkey but he was a big sensation in Turkey. There was so much talk about a possible transfer to Fenerbahce but unfortunately he became ill. I always thought Neko much better keeper than giving credit. I hope this exposure will get him a nice transfer. The guy deserves it.

Ospina is talented no doubt but he has to be the most overrated player in history of Colombian Soccer. Some of you guys describe him as the Colombian Casillas. He's far from great and still has a long way to go from reaching that status.

Neko for the immediate future deserves to be starter. Opsina still young and hopefully will mature more as time and his career progresses.

I think it will be a very healthy competition for Ospina and Neko, specially because both are know to be prone to errors, Ospina coming out to get the ball and Neko with the amount of bounces he gives.

    Neko can score:p

You know this shouldn't be such a bashing player thread like the dumb Jackson is better than Teo. Teo is better than Jesus threads on the striker pages. I am really happy we have a good backup and a friendly competition. I also think Nelson Ramos is one hell of a keeper and can easily fill in for either of these guys. David Gonzalez at Man City was loaned to a Scottish team and if he starts for them he might be another keeper to watch for during Qualifers :)

I was really worried because our league kept hiring crappy guys from Uruguay and Argentina (yes Pibe I think Pezzutti sucks and dusty Viera sucks too)

Colombia has Strikers and goalies to spare now we need back ups for the midfield and 2 strong CBs and we have a World Cup quality team

Pezzuti was the best keeper in the last tournament. lets not bash for the sake of bashing.

Is it bad I don't like foriegn keepers ? :D

Look we are Colombia our best players 10 years ago were Goalies and CBs now we have like none because clubs are bringing in crap ones from abroad. Pezzutti is not better than Neco Martinez or Nelson Ramos. Nacional is Better than Once Caldas and Millos. Big difference its like saying Victor Valdez is better than Casillas or Buffon because Barca is better than Juve and Real Madrid.

I don't think foriegn keepers who are not that much better than our league goalies are that helpful. It is my personal opinion.

Crzd, you don't have to like foreign players, but don't talk BS and tell me that Pezutti is suck when clearly he is one of the best keepers we ever had in here and it was a fact that he is one of the reasons for our title. You can admit that he is a good keeper but that you don't like him.
