when Ching was subbed in the Pachuca game, it seemed a little strange, since he was suspended for KC three days later anyway. Dom said after that match that he had a tight hamstring. If it was still lingering in US camp, they may have been cautious. Did see Ching in at least one pic from US practice before CR game.

Algeria and Egypt have to endure the playoff match and yes it is in the Sudan cuz really...when I think Sudan it's the first place I think of as a suitable venue for a safe, winner take all ticket to the World Cup.
If you want to see running score updates from all the WCQs today, this site usually should have them all -- it's in Portuguese, but it's easy to figure out the basics: Eliminatórias para a Copa de 2010
Oops...my Egypt/Algeria feed must have gotten shut down. Ukraine vs Greece is on ESPN2. Greece is up 1-0 but Ukraine is closing the half well and just blew a golden opportunity for the equalizer.
FIFA is actually providing a stream of the Egypt/Algeria match. http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/news/newsid=1135950.html#watch+algeria+egypt+live
The NYT says they have a reporter at the game in the Sudan. Go figure. Edited: Algeria 1 x 0 Egypt Ukraine 0 x 1 Greece In progress: Bosnia 0 x 1 Portugal Slovenia 1 x 0 Russia France 0 x 1 Ireland
Wow. France goes through after tying the game up on the most blatant hand ball I've ever seen. Henry clearly uses his hand to control the ball...twice. And he was probably offside, before feeding the ball to Gallas for the game tying goal and the goal that sends France to SA. Ireland was royally screwed and I'd be livid if I was Irish. Hell, I'm livid and I'm not even Irish. I can only imagine how pissed they are.
The video I've seen was even more blatant than the US-Germany game of 2002. Maybe the most shocking decision I've ever seen.
That was obvious and intentional. A terrible call. Of course with Platini in charge of UEFA nothing will happen
speechless. and if anyone was wondering how Henry would do with the NYC limelight-he'd handle it well (cue rimshot)
Michel Platini c'est Don Garber en Francais! Conspiration! well this ref was from the banana republic of sweden and we know how they're all corrupt in their business dealings. furniture that's shipped flat? give me a break.
i would send a couple of patrols down there in case anyone of the boys get any bright ideas. http://www.ikea.com/ie/en/store/dublin
