One should be careful with what he says or write, what players are the ones shouting at the referee, acting like little babies and starting to get very physical? Which players wre very mad after a very obvious offside was called?, I guess it is easier to keep your coolness when those pesky linesmen do not call those obvious offsides :D

Funny to see players that are members of CONCACAF teams in the quarter finals, out of the 20 players Paraguay took, many play in Mexico, and if I'm not mistaking, Mauro Camoranessi (or Camoranezzi or however it is spelled) from the Spanish team used to play in Mexico for many years.

CONCACAF level is not that low indeed.

I don't know if that was an offside or not, he didn't touch the ball, but he tried to touch the ball, he had a defender next to him covering him, in my book, he was part of the action, but this is one of those plays in ehich it is so difficult to decide.

That linesman looked very nervous about his offside call.

It's a shame. A huge underdog like Paraguay aren't going to get very many chances at goal. One bad whistle can pretty much take them out of the fight.

Someone needs to remind these refs that you are supposed to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking player.

DAMMIT, I KNOW IT IS RAINING CASEY CURRY!!!

It was alright when they took Wimbledon off the air because we got to see the guy riding a Jetski under 45. But I don't need to see weather maps, if you are going to show me honda accords getting stalled out in 2 ft of water, then maybe.....

But the guy in the offside position did try to hit the ball, once you go for the ball, you are part of the play, tha is like trying to hit a player, you don't need to hit the guy, you just need to try, but I may be wrong, I know, shocking.

2 Penalties in 2 different areas in 2 minutes, he makes Spain shoot again, what the heck is happening.

I'm just going by the look on the guys face. He isn't sure of his call, so he shouldn't have made it.

And you know what the guy is thinking by the look on his face?

Everyone knows I dislike Spain, a lot, but if a play is offside, the right thing is to make the call, the guy tried to play the ball, he was offside, he was trying to get an advantage from his position.

Mauro Camoranesi played at Cruz Azul and Santos and started on the Italian 2006 WC championship team.

i just looked at the roster and i counted 9 out of 23 Paraguayans that play or have played in Mexico including 1 that currently plays in the 2nd divison. Uruguay's team should have 5 or 6 more players that have come through Mexico. Chile had 4 or 5 players. not to mention all the Hondurans, USAers, New Zoolanders and Mr. White that played in MLS.

that could be up to 100+ players that have come through CONCACAF.

I read that he was "released from his contract." I'm not sure if that means he asked to leave or was told to leave. I had seen that he had planned to leave, then was having second thoughts.
