shouldn't kick the ball at the ref and hurt players. What a prick

don't know what I am talking about-check out the SJ/LA match.

BTW-I really freaking miss Wondo. Love that kid.

If only we could see the future when we sent Wondolowski to San Jose. And I've always wondered why we sent Kei Kamara to KC... Two veeeerrrry bad moves.

On another note, pretty amazing how accurate Beckham was with that little half-volley. Hit the player dead on from about 25 yards away.

Should have been ejected right then and there.

Maybe Cronin should get some time for embellishment too, as soon as the ball hit him as he was injured, he got right back up.o_O

Yes, it does seem that Beckham gets special treatment because he's Beckham. I don't know if they'll suspend him, but if it was any other player they surely would.

Can you give us the minute of the incident? My DVR stopped at 88' on that game.

You can't assume their form would have been the same had they stayed. Can't assume their form would not have been the same either. We just don't know what would have happened.

There is an individual 1 minute clip in the MLS highlights. This is just the SOP for the Gals. I think it was Magee that whizzed one past the ref's head a few games back and never saw a card or warning. Also, watch the highlights. After almost any play there will be multiple LA players in the refs face. They all scream , point fingers, and occasionally grab or bump him. They are out of control, spoiled little bitches.

damn that sucks-all the good stuff happened right after that. I think the incident was all in stoppage time-about the 93rd minute

Wondo has scored too many goals for 3 seasons now to say it is/was a fluke or his form would be that much different. It's not a one-season hot streak.

BTW, apparently they had a ton of stoppage time in the 1st half that made the game run long. I guess Busch got hurt plus a bunch of goals.

I'm not saying it is a fluke or a hot streak.

I'm saying that moving back to the Bay area might or might not be an essential part of him becoming the productive player he now is. We can never know.

A change in scenary. A sense of a fresh start. It is often what a player needs to improve their game. There are many examples just like there are examples of productive players transferring and there form disappears. Or staying put and their form disappears -- or improves.

Yup, I still say that anyone who claims that they saw last 3 year production coming is full of it. I (and others) who attended Reserve League games can tell you that's a different dude.

    "King of the Reserves!"

Look-this whole Wondo argument is ridiculous. It's like looking back at the girl you dated in High School and saying what if. If she had stayed with you, you would have become a lazy slob or she would have got fat, etc.

For whatever reason it wasn't working here-the timing wasn't right. I remember it seemed every time he got into match in 2006 someone got red carded or hurt and he had to get subbed off as part of tactical move. It's water under the bridge. But hey-I still like the kid (and his brother).

Wow. I just found a youtube clip of Beckham drop kicking the ball onto Cronin from 30 yards. Freakin impressive. I think it might be the greatest thing I've ever seen him do. And Cronin does deserve derision and punishment for having the Beckman missile attack miracle cure his foggy head.

The absolute best part is seeing the damn SJE Smurf in the middle of the action with Beckham. That is just pricelessly funny.

The Mirror's coverage is absolutely hilarious. Check out this quote:

    I can't stop laughing.

Beckham has been doing s... like that for years and getting away with it.
In Real Madrid he was a very dirty player and always got away with it.

I caught the end of that game. Becks just threw a temper tantrum. He's lucky that Q didn't kick his ass.

Sounds right. Looks like Q, the mascot, was holding one of those signs to get attention from the ESPN cameras. All I know is that Q should make the All-Star Game. No way John Terry can cover him.
