It's ridiculous that a neighborhood association located near an airport was threatening the development of a soccer stadium! Traffic would be worse? Noise from the stadium worse than jet engines? Or was it because--as we all know--soccer fans are all illegal aliens who drink too much? Only in America would any government even consider holding a hearing based on complaints from that group in that area. It's absurd. Glad the Quakes fans will get their home.
dude-they are hypersensitive out there. I boarded a plane over there at 0600 and we waited on the tarmac until 0630 because of a local ordinance-planes are allowed to take off/land between 2400 and 0630. It was actually quite silly-all the planes race to wait so they can be first to take off. This is what they are dealing with. So imagine a soccer stadium. I am pretty sure they will ban all yelling and vuvzelas. Everyone will be forced to whisper when goals are scored.
