    starts again this friday.

for schedules, scores, action shots, satirical cartons and cheerleader t&a this is the best site:

    http://www.mediotiempo.com/

i also highly recommend John Jagou's BS blog. really well-written with an always fresh, optimistic perspective. something unheard of amongst the usual pessimistic Mexican press. he so upbeat that i suspect he may be lying about being Mexican:

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/soccer/john-jagou/2012/07/19/new-faces-headline-liga-mx-opening-weekend/

one of the better podcast is led by Tom Marshall. he's an English-type from Manchester living in Guadalajara that provides a great fish out water perspective of La Liga MX:

    http://www.fmfstateofmind.com/

i've also really enjoyed the intro to the league provided by our own 'local loco' Ordinary Orange Fan on DynamoTheory. never met the dude, but when i do i want to ask him the age-old question..."what's up with gringos and all the Pumas UNAM love":

It is only an 10 hr drive from here to Mty if I remember correctly. Same as going to Lubbock.

Does anyone know how easy it is to get tickets for a Tigres or Rayados game? I've always wanted to go to an FMF game as the overall quality of players in the league is better than MLS.

I'll be keeping an eye on Tijuana this season with all the gringos they have playing there. I will also be watching Pablo Barrera at Cruz Azul.

I'll also be happy to follow the Dynamo's great nemesis--Pachuca. They should be pretty exciting.

A friend of mine, who is from MTY, and I went on a spur of the moment trip to MTY. We were able to get Rayados tickets the day before the game. I think it was from a ticket broker like Ticketmaster. The game wasn't even close to being full. That was a couple of years ago.

Los Tigres are putting a beat down on Jaguares. 2-0 at 19'. It looks like someone is going to have to step up now that Martinez transferred to Porto in Portugal.

Unfortunately for Alan "the next big thing" Pulido, Oribe "the hairbrush" Peralta & Gio dos Santos happened.

The fed was trying to be sensitive in picking the 3 over age players because they didn't want to demote the kids who did all the heavy lifting of qualifying. JJ Corona over Libirio was a great choice because Libirio was stinking it up and at the forward spot if it hadn't Oribe it would of been Chicharito (or Carlos Vela) taking Pulido's spot.

Ironically an U-23 Gio dos Santos also contributed. Marco Fabian and Gio are 2 of the best field players on this squad, but theyre also the same player. If you want to play both at the same time then one has to play higher up to avoid stepping on each other making another forward spot expendable in certain formations.

Don't feel bad for Alan, he's developing very well for his age. Btw, the Dynamos should inquire what his brother Armando is up to.

So I haven't been too big into Mexican soccer but anyone got a brief brief description of some teams.
I want to maybe follow a team this year. Anyone got any suggestions on a team to like?

Is there a dynamo of the liga mx?

-if you dont have favs, i would suggest chivas because cruyff is supposed to make em the barca of the western hemisphere.
-there is also pachuca (dynamo fans should know) because el pentapichichi has brought some talent to the team and there will always be controversy with anything hugol does.
-there are always dynamo fan favs like tigres, la pandilla, santos, tj...etc.. or if you wanna be a ******** go for america... je je... i keed.. ok maybe not;)
