The owner mentions that MLS is a possibility, but not on the agenda for now. They're doing well in the NASL and keeping that up for a few more years would be great for the sport. If he ever does get to MLS, he'd have to find a way to reconcile his initial motivation for the club (help fund the amusement park for special needs kids) with aspects of MLS like spending money on DPs. Of course, he could take a low-budget approach in MLS (works for us ), but I'm not sure that's what MLS wants in its new investors.
