I believe ESPN started with Champion's League games in the mid 90's back when it was truly a champions league. You'd get cool games like Ajax v Grasshopper Zurich playing in the snow with an orange ball. EPL games were still shown on Fox networks on a tape delay basis.
wow, i totally missed this show. wish i would of caught it. all i wanna know is why Klinsmann gets away with playing his son that sucks! Michael Bradley Klinsmann needs to go!!!
I guess it wasn't on for very long But those two trying to do commentary on the like of Toros Neza in the mid 90's was pure comedy gold.
In addition to that, ESPN had a weekly show circa 1996-98 called Latin Football Weekly. JP Dellacarma and it covered very well the MFL, the Brasil state leagues and Serie a, the Argentine Primera and so on. It kept the highlights quick and as much goals as possible ending in the tables for each competition. Really good stuff.
Brek Shea is subbed in during the middle of the first half. He's still trying to figure it out. Cameron is playing CM in the first half.
Fox Soccer AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!! The post game show of the Valencia/ PSG game revealed the score of the Juventus/Celtic match! WTF are they thinking!!! They're about to broadcast Celtic/Juventus in 15 minutes and they spoil it by showing you the score if you turn on your tv fifteen minutes early!
