I can see why everyone would be so shocked and offended by some diving and acting in a match between a Spanish team and an Italian team. Who would have ever seen that coming?

A humorous look at the day in Europe:D:

So, the Barcaloungers are denied a shot to win Europe at the Bernabeu and rub it in their rivals' faces. We're now down to Inter Milan (a far superior club to Exit Milan) and the Munchin' Vase Sellers for the ticket to Abu Dhabi (no word if the winning club will fly there in December or be shipped in a box along with Odie).

    ::brandishes fist::

Congrats on making the final, may the best team win, may no one get injured, may the referee be fair, may it not be decided by penalties, etc. etc.

    :D

Amen to all of that. I really hope that Ribery's suspension gets lifted. It will obviously be a better match with him playing for Bayern, and I can't see how that tackle earned a 3 match suspension in the first place.

And if we end up watching the match at the same place on May 22nd, first round is on me. That's going to be a great, great day.

Congrats to both Inter and Bayern. I never would have believed it when the tournament started, but no EPL teams in the finals! :D

Some of the post-match shit I have seen out of Barca is disappointing, to say the least. Turning sprinklers on the celebrating Inter players, Victor Valdes physically trying to stop Mourinho from celebrating with the Inter fans. I guess they've won so much they've forgotten how to loose graciously.

Also, I do love Mourinho. Always have. Muito amor, muito respeito. Volte para casa a Porto.

That's just Barca being Barca. After the last few years they think their sh*t doesn't stink.

Re: NCR: UEFA Champions League knock-out rounds

There might be a more appropriate thread, but I thought I saw that the final will be televised on FOX, the Network!! I hope all fans of the game tune in and the numbers accurately reflect that so Fox will put more matches on the network and perhaps the other networks will see the numbers.

I realize the argument can be made that it is a very high profile match, much like some of the WC matches, and the numbers will obviously be higher. That argument will be furthered by stating that MLS is not the caliber of the teams in any of those matches, so those numbers will not tune in if indeed matches were put on Fox or any of the other networks.

I just think it is cool that this match will be available to so many and hope that we have a good showing in the numbers.

I just hope that Fox advertise that it will be shown on their main channel. I wouldn't have even known that the CL games were on FSO if I didn't see it on here.

Can anyone else see the class acts at Toronto FC turning the sprinklers on us after we win MLS Cup on their formerly fake grass? Because I sure can.

When I posted that this is the response from a TFC supporter:

RT @michael_kadis: Yeah... let the beer bottles rain down on GBS! RT @CrewUnion: ..... when #TheCrew are celebrating winning MLS Cup 2010 at BMO.

    [NCR] Roy v Rafa

Rumor has it there were a couple of fairly important matches in Engerland tonight!
Not sure anyone here noticed.. but whatever... GolTV is replaying one of them at the moment.

On the one hand a manager who seems to make the best of players he finds at rummage sales; on the other hand, a manager who never seems to have enough money to spend on stars.

Results reflected that. One of these is more like Sigi .. the other one isnt.

    heh!

Why is anyone talking about Liverpool in a Champions League Knockout rounds thread right now?

I dont know... It's CHAMPIONS League knockout.. isnt it.

    Ask the Honorary MOD, Crewbeat.

And while you're at it ask him if it belongs in 'OTHER TEAMS' which I thought was for mainly MLS and other NA teams

Mid week games are are tough. It takes a helluvan effort to avoid my homepage and other sites so as to not ruin the result until I can get home from work and watch the game(s). So when the DVR chooses to not record the second half of the game, that really sucks. Turns out I guess it saved me a bit of live heartache, but what the hell?

And was that Xavi to Messi or Murphy to Davies on that first goal? Could have fooled me.

    [NCR] CL Final on FOX OTA {UHF}

Get that? Broadcast!!! NOT FSC, NOT FSN, Fox!

If you rely on Livesoccertv.com you gonna get REAL confused. So DONT!

Here's the Fox article on it

Also... now would be a good time to learn to set your DVR by channel and Time if you dont know how to do that already.

I am doing this as public service because there seems to be a lot of confusion. I prolly wont watch it.

PS: Waldo appears in studio, along with the Bruce to give us expert analysis
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
PPS: Yes, Kryp, I know.. ALL broadcast is now UHF.... or none is, depending on POV. Just trying to make the the point. You can get it on antenna
